Great video to use in my classroom. Our whole school does the Cupid Shuffle for Rainbow week and for Valentine's Day. One suggestion, when teaching the right and left side, you might consider use the opposite sides so that the viewer can follow without being confused since the right side looks like left to the viewer (especially young children). Thanks for sharing!
I appreciate the video. Just wishing the camera angles were better. I'm trying to watch their feet and movements of the entire class, not the stomachs or their shoes.... :)
@@98birmancat Thats not how you teach dance to children love, they need to follow the moves not the faces... The above comment was totally valid and I have three years classical training.
You made this dance easy to learn. I would make it easier for the viewer if we could mirror your moves. This means that the instructor and crew would actually do the Right vs Left backwards when facing the camera so the people learning the dance learn the move correctly. Once you turn and are not facing us it is easier to follow correctly. I am a music teacher and when I teach choreography I have to remember to do this as well or turn and face the same direction the viewers are.
See, I always learned & taught choreography like this man is teaching. When he goes right, we go right. I can’t do it the modern way with the mirror image. Makes no sense to me.🤷🏻♀️But, usually the teacher is facing forward so we go the same way.👍
Ease up all you haters!! I give kudos to Mr. Jeff Cowans for working with these youngsters and explaining these moves like he does. I do agree some that the camera could have been moved back a bit to show more of the moves and not so close up to their faces, but he did also provide both CC (Closed Captioning) and sound so you can understand what he's saying. As far as this not being the true Cupid Shuffle, I'm not at all sure of that, but once again--So nice of him to show these kids this version.
I feel very Confident now that you taught this Dance step simply easy & slow cause all of this time, I haven’t learned the Cupid Shuffle I always wanted to learn but felt Awkward learning it Especially when Going to Weddings, barbecues picnics any sort of dance events the last 1 I had learn & got it down to the Science is the Electric slide that is the only 1 I remember how to do from the late 80’s to the early 90’s Every since then I don’t keep up with those type of Dances
Great video!!! You’re an awesome instructor, the kids did great and your video is so entertaining and easy to follow along and learn from…Thank you so much for sharing!!!
in my opinion all dance tutorials should be done so those watching can do it the correct way. So either flip the video, you go left so the audience will mirror and go right or do it facing the same way as the watching audience with your back to them.
My dance teacher did freestyle with us, we did not do this... It was more like street hip hop-ish with dem baggy pants and all. XD But we used the cupid shuffle song remixed
@@Adriana-sd9qm I'm sorry but frostii past away. Frostii didn't give a nut to a squirrel. The squirrel was angry, followed frostii to scope out the house. The squirrel made a game plan, assembled the best squirrels in the world, they went to frostii's home. Needless to say, frostii is now just a puddle....
