Sorry, not regarding this video : Can’t find a video of yours explaining transitioning from ribbing to stockinette so that transition row is not so high or such a big bump. Thanks, Norman. I do like how the chain embroidery looks on garter stitch - it makes a nice bold accent. I'm thinking this would be a good way to add linear accents that are essentially afterthought narrow stripes - but they can can go in any direction: straight or curved or diagonal. Plus, they can charge straight across seams without any fuss! Now that opens up a whole world of possibilities.... Do you think it would be possible to use an accent yarn that is a lighter weight than the knitting yarn, since the chain stitch sits over the garter stitches? It would be a more subtle effect, but it might be just the right thing. And one final thought: I wonder if some of the many other embroidery stitches in the chain stitch family would also work neatly into garter stitch. Clearly, there is experimenting to do - time to make a garter stitch + embroidery sampler scarf! Thanks, as always, Norman, for the knowledge and inspiration! -Laura 💕💕
