It does sometimes hehe, we gotta make sure that our training is strengthening our leg's joint and muscles and also increase the flexibility so it will protect the knees while doing Xu Bu

Do xu bu enhance single leg squat strength?

slightly, but in order to gain a strong single leg squat you have to train it, in order to gain a Strong Xu Bu You have to Train Xu Bu by holding it as long as possible and practicing the move that included Xu Bu often
