i’m really stupid. i really tried to do it when on carpet 😑. anywho i’ll be in the gym after school to practice this. THIS IS REALLY HELPFUL! THANK UUUU!!!
I wore long sleeves and pants when on carpet (the carpet was soft in the room I was in, so it helped with extra padding for my knees), but now I practice on hardwood floor. Carpet isn't actually that bad to practice on tbh
I HAVE WATCHED IDK HOW MANY TUTORIALS AND TRIED PRACTICING SO MANY TIMES. but THIS was the ONLY tutorial that actually helped!!!! IM SO GRATEFUL THANK YOU!!!
This video was extremely helpful! Your progressive drills are really effective and easily doable. To anyone hitting the floor too hard: the bottom-line is to put your legs vertically facing upwards while diving, rather than horizontally. This cushions the fall enourmously!
Thank you for this! Im going into high school and their making this something we have to learn on our own! Thanks for the tips! I'll definitely be practicing!
This is Tutorial gold. I have followed your instructions and now I can do the worm....well, and also the Dolphin Dive. Can't wait to show this to my team
Omg when you said the worm movement, I have the confidence and strength to do it, even though I’ve never done the worm movement, but I just kinda get what you meant and I started doing it, even though I haven’t try it with a ball but I think I can do it, thank you so much!
I’m doing mine on a mat since I also do cheerleading and I don’t think I should go on the floor yet. Turns out that was a bad idea and I rolled over my neck and it’s locked in place now :)
Thank you so much for this tutorial! I quickly progressed to getting on my knee but realised that it would take time to master. I'm a setter trying to improve all of my skills and this helped me so much and was super clear!
How are you falling without hitting the ground with your knees? Are there any exercises to prevent that (improve it somehow)? Btw I love that video! I thought it’s impossible for me to learn that!!! Thank you for your tutorials!
OMG THIS WAS THE FIRST EVER VIDEO I REMEMBER WATCHING WHEN I FIRST GOT INTO VOLLEYBALL 4 YEARS AGO I WAS LITERALLY STILL A LITTLE KID AND IM IN HIGHSCHOOL NOW WORKING ON GETTING A SCHOLARSHIP FOR VBALL
this was extremely helpful!! i've done some clinics and training programs and they never teach us how to dolphin dive so i had to learn it on my own T_T
please do a tutorial on middle blocker/hitter footwork and spiking and also bumping a volleyball better, those are a few things I have to work on! I have tryouts in a week for freshman vb and Ive never been on a volleyball team but I'm pretty good I hope. You also did a really good job being specific and giving detailed directions and it helped me a lot. I subscribed and loved this video. Thank you
Sorry for not getting back to you sooner! I hope your tryouts went well! I had a lot of things going on for the past few weeks so I wasn't able to upload any videos but I am going to try and start uploading weekly!
Have no idea how I got to this video. Have never watched vollyball as well, I think it got reccomended because I watched some clips of that vollyball anime. But now I'm having the urge to try this out, it looks so cool. Hope I dont hurt myself.
tips: - wear non slippery shoes when doing this skill. i slipped instead of kicking off when using my slippers LMAO - film yourself doing it. i filmed myself and saw the mistakes i made - wear arm sleeves while doing this (any long sleeve shirt works, however there are special arm sleeves for sports like mizuno). this helps with sliding especially if you aren’t confident, plus it helps with bloodcirculation which helps a ton if ur arms hurt after diving!
I have to tell you you made this video incredibly its awesome to see how crucial and great tips you say keep it up this was a very good video helped me a lot
Hello ! I started praticing my diving and i'm not able to swing my leg so when start diving , i'm kicking with my leg and when i landed my leg goes immediatly down on the floor so sometime it hurt . Could u give me a tips for that ? ty
when would one use a dive vs falling to your knees and sliding? i've only been playing off and on for a few years (i just got super back into volleyball) so i'm looking for lots of tips especially with diving/sliding
ive been a libero for about three seasons now and im tired of bellyflopping everytime i have a hard dive so thanks hopefully I'll actually learn how to dive 💀💀
I don’t know how this is gonna help me I’ve been trying for an hour and I can’t do it at all. I keep hitting my whole stomach on the ground and my other leg doesn’t go upwards.
The skill is all about gaining confidence, and can usually be learnt in a month or so. It took me a little longer than a month to learn, mainly because I was terrified of the floor but mastery can take several years and is an on going process.
i kind of got it but i really get hurt in my chest and then I get like a full body ache after which is rlly uncomfortable.. any tips or anyone that experienced the same?
Any ladies with like idk c+ cups whom have done this dive. Does it hurt bc like, ig yes extra padding but I feel like it would kind hurt. Let me know pls.
