DRAX GAMING Can you tell me how to record BF II on PC? I tryed with OBS but there are laggs EVERYWHERE And you are the only one I could find with the PC version like me because all the other RU-vidr are playing the PS4 version...
Hello Drax if you're reading this I need your help I want to reverse the Starfighter controls whatever I play the Starfighter assault I still haven't figured out how to do that also I cannot access Starfighter assault is there any reason why I just got the game and all I get are Ground Battle scenarios I've looked everywhere to the Home Menu Pages and stuff nothing that says Starfighter assault
That's when what ships u guys have matters int>fight>bomb if your the same then your either gunna have to make a move or be patient. Do it next to an objective u need to kill and u can have unlimited runs until a 3rd guy takes you out cuz ur very vulnerable to anyone else when circling, which is why I never do it unless I'm doing the aforementioned bombing run
When Im playing with Luke, Vader, Kylo, etc...I just turn in the opposite direction and mark them with his center hability and in a couple of seconds they will die xd
If you're like me and dropped out of Stormtrooper Marksman Academy, try playing in first person mode (hold down). I found a massive increase in my accuracy after doing this and adjusting sensitivity. I've found it to be a superior mode for avoidance as well in narrow obstacle zones since the third person mode gave me trouble with depth perception.
I like the heat dissipation one for the bomber since you need long strafing runs for the objectives. Nothing worse than running out of juice while attacking an objective. Another trick is Slave-1's seismic charge. Most people use this on other players, but if you drop this near an objective, it just melts the health off of it (I've seen up to 10% in one hit).
Your guides are pure awesomeness. I'm having a blast playing Star Fighter Assult, I was pretty terrible at first but I'm starting to get the hang of it now. Quickly becoming my favourite game mode!
It looks different on PS4, but I turned the 'Starfighter Response Curve' to 100% and the 'Stick Deadzone' to 0% and just played the best match I've ever had (#1 on my team's leaderboard with 70 eliminations)! It took one full match to get used to the settings but that's what worked for me
Literally, ever star card lined up with what I chose... One thing I would argue is to hug debris you are familiar with especially when using a bomber, the small debris details can be perfect for smaller ships to collide into if your pursuer isn't as familiar with the environment, they may turn into debris trying to get the shot on you while you fly away laughing.
Can someone please suggest to Dice or Criterion to add a Naboo Starfighter Assult map? I would love to be able to use the N-1 versus Vulture Droids. The objectives are already developed, if they could just take the fight scene from Episode 1. The N-1 has always been one of my favorite aspects if every SW game, and the ability to only use it on Galactic Assult on Theed is disheartening. All of the components for this map are already developed, it would just be a matter of putting the map together.
Tbh some factions have better ships than others. For example, all the fighters are generally equal in strength but the imperial faction’s fighters don’t have shields. The Y-wing is better than any other bomber and the tie-interceptor is probably the weakest interceptor. The Tri-fighter and the A-wing are both OP as all hell too
great guide i have watched a few diff guides an have got a lot of great tips but the tip i havnt heard anyone reccomend is to always attack at your lowest speed i was able to double my kills and got a 73 kill game just by never go faster than base speed unless evading or closing ground to objectives otherwise i never go faster than base speed making u more manuverable an way more accurate
Going into first person in a fighter helps me a ton on console. More so in the more open maps as there is still a problem with hitboxes and collision effects in some places.
The intercepter being good HEAVILY depends on which ship you're flying. The A-wing is by far the best ship in the game, no matter the faction, while the tie interceptor and first order tie fighter (interceptor class) are insanely inferior to the A-wing because of their weak cannons. So imo, interceptor class on itself is not the strongest class, but the A-wing specifically is vastly superior to any other starfighter
I can’t use this tactic often but run with a wingman, stay in touch with them so they can break off and help you, my friends and I like to run with a bomber and interceptor but you can do what you want
Hi! Does the aim assist setting affect this game mode? Also, what's the preferred stick configuration? I grew up playing rogue squadron and it's taking me some time to adjust :) Also, sorry for the barrage, but how important is the "auto-correct to horizon" feature? should it be on or off? thanks!!!
Yes it is. They are nearly the same so as a former SWTOR player it was easy to adapt to BF2 but I still end up in the middle of table xD Luckily in BF2 we don't have annoying gunships that snipe people off from the other end of map. It is a surprise to me that Starfighter mode in SWTOR was viewed as a failure while in BF2 it gets many positive reactions. That tells a lot how important is the target audience for content you make.
Starfighter became my only reason for staying subbed to SWTOR and that wasn't enough for me to keep paying a sub. I was SO excited when this game was announced, despite my not wanting to give Disney any of my money ever again.
i haven't played BF2 on console but I think it would definitely feel better On if I was using a controller. I actually like the auto straighten ability when using a mouse and keyboard.
Is is just me or does flying/playing online feel/is different than in story mode? I can’t seem to control for shit what I’m using while playing online, but in story mode I have no problems. Edit: Also, I play in console (PS4).
Everything about story mode is easier than multiplayer. The ships are faster, they hit harder, except the AI players. They're still easy as fuck to destroy. Turning down the sensitivity is the best advice, and go with Tuned Lasers, Reinforced Hull and Advanced Capacitors with the bomber class. Once they're all fully upgraded you're tough to bring down and can do a lot of damage out there. I just finished Fondor as the Rebels and had 35 eliminations and 12,250 points. As the empire I had 72 eliminations and 9,720 points. I believe the more fire you can put on the target the faster is the best way to go about your Star Cards. The interceptor with advanced capacitors and the faster firing cycler and elite pilot makes you lethal as fuck.
Do you think that upgrading the offensive ability for the interceptor is worth it? Or is the rate of fire and cooling better? Also, is improved engine good? Love the tips!
This was a fun guide to watch and I assume the star card choices would be the same for ps4. Do you have any suggestions for game settings in console mode?
This was a helpful video. I dont know if im just bad at flying because everytime i do the most ridiculous manevuers, im still taken out in seconds but when im chasing someone i can barely get the target on them. And idk how but i swear people know a certain turning strategy that i dont know because fuckers be turning in and out in like a half a second and im just ya know turning and swerving to the side and fast as i can and changing speeds for harder turns. lol
But the thing is, if you turn down your sensitivities then you can’t turn as quickly, so that’s a whole new problem by itself, so what the hell are you supposed to do??
Hi, is there a guide to see/do you know how to read what the numbers, timer, etc. I've been playing a ton and still don't know what those mean?? Thanks a ton!
Top of screen = Friendly Reinforcements and Enemy Objective Health. The one with Yellow to the left of your fighter is a teamwork multiplayer. You get this up to 2x by killing enemies and completing objectives with your spawn wave. I haven't got a guide on any of these but hope that helps a bit.
I am starting to get the hang of fighter, but can’t for the life of me work out how to play the interceptor. It’s just way to fast and twitchy to be able to focus on anything. (I am playing ps4 on 10% sensitivity). Help!
Also the heat sink and tuned lasers on the absolute savage droid tri fighter will make you almost invincible. It's my favorite interceptor 😂 Edit: meant to say advanced capacitors lol
I think the biggest issue in Starfighter Assault is that the A-wing is just unbeatable. Empire/First Order ties are straight garbage. The A-wing has the fastest turn rate out of all the interceptors in the game. Meaning you'll almost always win in 1v1. I wish Starfighter Assault was more like the og space battles in Battlefront 2 classic. I absolutely dominate in those and it's completely balanced. No star card garbage, no unbalanced fighters, also unlimited reinforcements (so if you suck, you won't bring the whole team down).
Hi i'm having some trouble with the missiles and other mods controlled by the keys, it basically won't let me use any of them during game play, have you had this before and have any idea of how to fix it? I have re-installed the game but to no avail. It's consistent throughout all the star fighter modes. Cheers
Cheers! I'll give that a try. Been trying to find my sweet spots with Sensitivity for Star Fighting but that seems to be more difficult than I thought it would be. LOL Currently mine is set to 1600 but I always got the feeling this was too high anyway.
Hey Jonjon, that is one thing I have struggled with myself, the same as said in the video is true, get close and fire them at a time when they have little chance to dodge. Most of the time I find torpedoes and missiles useless so I just fire them at the AI ships as they are not really a threat, and they tend to dodge less so will die to them more.
how he is moving his aiming cross hair in starfighter assault? he is flying straight but his aiming cross hair is moving around independently and shooting targets off to the side, without having to move his plane to get behind them? can u move your crosshair in star fighter without moving your plane? i play on console
Can someone tell me how do I shake someone when they are shooting me from behind how do I make them stop I wanna get behind them to shoot back also what’s the first person button for ships?
Depending on what ship since they have different turn speeds boost or reduce your speed and youll get behind them. Down on the d-pad for first person (idk what pc is). You can also use left or right d-pad to look behind you.
Hi there, i tried SFA today first time. But there are things i could not understand. i know how to handle the fighters however, * how do you lock onto a target? which key? * how do you elude being a target? which key? why the fuck can i not destroy targets and the battle points given are so weak? Please help me improve on this game mode.
This is no lock as standard unless you are using torpedoes, with normal fire you have to lead by shooting the circle in front of your target. When using the torpedoes you press the torpedoes ability button once to lock and then again to fire. There is no set key for eluding, your best bet is to slow right down and turn as hard as possible. Battlepoints are purely based on damage dealt and enemies killed. If you want more killing turrets still works.
My big problem is that they completely ignored the controls opting to make roll on a second stick rather than on the up and down like a yoke fix this and the game will be more realistic
