So I did all of 7 battles last season, only to get fed up with the heavy rushing after about 5 minutes. Started this season in rank 8, and I'm now pretty much exactly where the Chicken is, rank and tech. That doesn't seem right to me at all. I'm also baffled to see Supercell still didn't take on the amazingly simple measure of beefing up ER-health, so we don't have to deal with rushing metas of any kind... Not disliking the season at all, in fact, I think it's quite fun.
Just got my 15. Same technique but only drop one heavy and one bomber at top right. That leaves another boat of bombers for the main attack. Works well. Came up from low 14 to gold doing this. I was using all bombers and hoping some survived before I introduced heavies. All shock mines at the back preventing rushes. All of them. And so now to 4 er! Onwards and ever upwards, it is what it is. Buk buk! 🐥
Feel your pain. Got to 16 last night using Opdestroy base. Now every win or loss is by a second or two. Have keys to upgrade to 4ER, but holding off for either Rockets or Boom Canons. Used your code Chicken for the specials on offer today. Best of luck, I'll sure you'll go on a win streak shortly.
I don’t have melon bomber but I’m still dropping all troops and flaring to all 3 ER’s some time I fizzle but mostly I get 3:20 plus. Also at rank 17 and if you don’t flare to all ER’s most likely your opponent will be.
After playing quite a few games this season i'd say about 70% of the time using all melon shooter I've been winning against the heavy rush. I just use 1 on the small side and spread out the rest on the big side. Last night moved up 2 ranks and lost only 3 times. Plus side note: when you destroy everything they have in the time it takes them to just take 3 ERs it's awesome
Attack suggestion - when u get 3 ers in line (like your current base layout) use 6 heavy and 2 bombardiers . Start from right flank - drop 5 heavy 2 bombardier sgt. Brick then1 heavy. And just flare on ers using battle orders. The base layout and attack strategy just got me to 18
Base change suggested - place the middle ER in front and place 2 mortars and bc in front. The other 2 er remin unchanged. Replace mine positions little bit depending on troop movements
This has been one of the most fun seasons I've played. The heavies we far back enough where ya actually have to fight through defense instead of just walking past everything
I prob lost 25 of 30 matches so I'd have enough keys for melon/heavies. All melons bad. Got heavies/melons,ok. Did the heavy rush on all non shocky bases for a bit. Then switched back to 5 melons/3 heavies after getting TD upgraded and back-filling. By the end of the day on my last chest, I went from low 11 to 16.05. 4ER, hopefully today. Still contemplating it.
Chicken, I blazed to 4 engines as fast as possible and it got me to rank 17. My defenses suck but maxed out mines and shock mines so the trick. Heavy Mellon meta is good. My base is not great but rocket choppers fail every time
No, I have maxed out shock mines spread out all along the back wall and people are literally walking right over every single one of them with heavies and still getting times of 3:20 and better. If my clock is anywhere under 3:20, it's most likely a loss for me.
Chicken - nice vid bud. Was very entertaining this one as we’ve all been there on them boss fights. I posted this on your previous video and yes it’s aggressive but I’ve now moved up again from 16.5 - 17.5 now. It’s worth doing with standard diddles and I guess melons but I’ve only just picked them up. Attack strategy; 3/5 heavy/diddle split drop combo. Drop 2 heavys & 3 diddles left side and sgt rush top 2 left ER’s. Then once flared to 2ER drop the last 1 heavy & 2 diddles far right and then flare 3rd ER once 2nd down. I get between 2.21-2.23 times so have won 85% of battles til now, good luck
I got heavies yesterday and flew from 13 to 16, while everyone still had anti bomber bases, then everyone else got heavies and a bunch of 1 second lost base races knocked me to mid 15. Fun while it lasted, I guess
This has to be the best season to date and here’s why tokens and keys are not a lot per chest which means it takes longer to get more starting with bombers and having good stuff at the beginning of the tech tree helps the lower rank players also this season is an extra week long this is more of a fair season for everyone and as for me I’m on rank 17 almost 18 it’s the best I’ve ever done in such an early stage
Use 2xheavy rest meloners..nonly on lower ramp..use ur gbe ONLY for battle orders..and u'll get to 17 easily..then you will be matching only with 4 er so save up
Its funny...reading these you can tell who relies on just heavies. Ya it's nice don't get me wrong but it's a good idea to learn strategy and other offensive units on here for when you can't totally rely on just walking past guns and cannons...just a suggestion
It’s funny how things get turned around I was riding high in 17 then I start getting opponents with 4 ers not just a couple but 37 in a row I tried the first 5 times but then realised I could not beat a 4 er base so I didn’t bother to even launch my boats so I be gone from high 17 down to 12
Got the Heavies last night and climbed from high 13 to mid-rank 15. Just farming chests now. Like everyone else, not sure if I should get melon bombers first then 4er or skip melons.
Was in the same situation, lost about 8 boss fights before finally making 16, now need to do somethin* else to progress but cant decide whether to get melon bombers or go straight to 4 ER.
I’ve been doin it just like that but as soon as the bombers launch a secs volley at the left er I flare to the middle er then flare to the last... 3:20-3:25
Going on rank 16 is a mess?! Getting winstreak blocked time after time with these clever A-holes somehow eeking out a 3:21 where I'm doing 3:20's consistently. Always on the winstreak...😠
I’m not sure I understood what you said about melon bombers I have them at max level I’m doing OK but do you have any advice for using them with heavies?
Chicken you are attacking all wrong. You should either do a) heavy rush or b) 5-6 boats heavy rest melon bombers and just flare just like the guy at 6:10 did. First half of this vid you couldve heavy rushed easily even with shocks mine in the way heavies tend to spread out. For cluster that are defense heavy use 1-2 boats heavy and rest melon bombers and shock+BO will net you great times.
