now if i create new react app in which version it will be created? i want to create in 17

If you go with the normal creste react app command it will create 18, the latest version

after downgrade , what about previous projects or folders... will they get deleted?

No the code will be there, only package.json file will be changed

No I didn't do any changes there only package.json and I guess it will automatically update in package lock.json too. Did it work?

What error are you getting? don't change that lock file
