I realize I missed one critical point. You can only downgrade to a firmware which has same binary as your current firmware. I have been using Samsung Android since Android 2.2 and have used ODIN to downgrade/restore my Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 P3100, Galaxy Note 3 Neo SM-N750, Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (in this video) and also Galaxy S20 FE 5G. However never in my life had any of my Samsung devices got their Binary versions upgraded (atleast until when I made this video) which is a new thing that Samsung does. So yes you can still downgrade but you are limited to the firmware versions with the same Binary as your current version. You cannot unfortunately downgrade to firmware with lower binary than your current one.
How to check this binary crap :( Am on Note 20 and I can't install back my discontinued android apk "Eye-fi" using Helium software, which is another discontinued app that I paid for :( Am left with a working copy on my note 8, but transferring it using SmartSwitch or any other apps, doesn't seem to work anymore....
Hello! I really need help. I have the Galaxy M33. I did this to downgrade my previous galaxy tab s6 lite but now with my phone it doesn’t work. I have it updated to Android 13 and I want to go back to 12. Can you help me. Also I heard something about binary. If I have that issue can I downgrade it anyways?
Bro please tell Mee what to do odin always shows fail and I was going downgrade me tab a7(LTE) from android 12 to 11 but it shows failed I downloaded the correct version and everything which I wanted
@@techstation365 oh shit🥲can u help me with allowance of files in zarchiever because i currently cannot extract filesh which I want it is so annoying 😮💨
Can you please check if i can downgrade my Galaxy A03 / SM-A035F Android 13 firmware version A035FXXS3CWC2 to Android 12 or Android 11. I'm not sure which one to select from
Its sad that Samsung became commercial scumbags, that ruins your phone with new software to make you buy new model. Happened with my Z flip 3 after few updates
I wanted to downgrade from android 12 to android 10, but my A7 t505 tablet is running binary 7 and I don't know how to install the old version. Could anyone help me?
I wish this helps. I just updated my Galaxy a53 from android 5.1 to 6. My dear, it's a disaster! I h@te the clock style that now look like what you install from playstore. It was unique - but now "bold" and ugly.
Unfortunately I cannot downgrade my Tab A7 (SM-T500) from firmware T500XXS4CVJ1 back to T500XXU3BVB3 (for custom ROM purposes) using this method. ODIN fails saying Fail! (Auth) after saying abl.elf. Do you have any tips?
Ohh I see the binary has changed. Try to find a firmware with '4' in the build number. Your binary has gone from U3 to S4 (so 3 to 4), try to see if you find a firmware with 4 in the build number. Unfortunately you can't, I checked for an S4 firmware, but no luck. Sorry.
@@techstation365 bro plz help even i have same problem just make a new video on samsung s20 fe 5g downgrade from android 13 to android 10 stock frimware
Hi There, full of hope i was watching your video as I am trying to get my S10e from android 12 back to 10, just like u did in this video. But in your case u stayed within the same SW.Rev, android 12 rom and 10rom of the S6lite tab using the same bit 2. For the S10e android 12 is on bit 7 and andorid 10 on bit 5. Weren't u in this case just lucky? Cause my research showed that jumping down bit's is not possible...just like the comment prior to mine? Or do u know of an option that allows jumping bit's down?
I am really sorry. Actually this a relatively new practice.. I didn't know about this when I made this video as my Samung devices at that point of time didn't get their binaries upgraded. My S20 FE 5G finally had it's binary upgraded and that's why I didn't want to update the software. It's a scammy practice by Samsung. Check the pinned comment.
You can follow this method if you are on at max June security patch because after this the binary has been upgraded and you can't downgrade to a lower binary version. I haven't upgraded but I don't feel any issues with battery drain, I'm getting battery life as usual like I had on Android 12. And Android 13 is just waaayyy better in terms of fluidity and performance. If you have gone beyond June Security patch then you can downgrade using the same method but to older security patches but within July. So if you feel your latest security patch is worse for battery life, go for older patch version.
From Android 10 to Android 13 June Security patch, S20 FE 5G has been on the same binary but after June, binary has been upgraded, so you can never go back to Android 10/11/12.
I have a samsung galaxy that the operating system was updated from os13 to os 14. Do you know how to go back to OS13. I am diabetic using FreeStyle Libre2 and it does not work with os14. Please let me know,...thank you so much...very important for my health
I came across you video looking for a way to downgrade. I've done all this already. It fails because I've been told you can't downgrade, you can only flash a newer version. I tried downloading from SamFW but it fails to download
You can downgrade, only thing is the binaries should match. I never had a samsung phone or tablet that has had a newer or updated binary, all my life since 2012, so I never faced failure, but I realise there are some devices that have their binaries updated or changed, so you can only downgrade if there is a version with the same binary as your current binary. Can you post your build number?
@TechStation365 This might take a minute, here it goes... About a year and a half ago I bought this Renewed "unlocked" S20 Plus from Amazon. It came with Android 10 and Android 11 had been available but I wasn't receiving the OTA update. So I flashed the unlocked S20 plus Android 11 firmware. When Android 12 rolled around I got the OTA update, ok great, it's fixed. Now that 13 became available beginning of December I didn't get it but it turns out only the carrier S20 Plus got it. But here's the thing, we got our Son an "unlocked" S20 Plus he starts it up and it says Verizon. I said it's not unlocked. He shut it down put in his SIM and starts it back up and it triggers the AT&T logo, he has Red Pocket Mobile on AT&T's network. I said ok, it is unlocked. Then he gets the OTA update for 13. I'm like WTH. So I look at his model number and it's SM-G986U, not unlocked version. Mine is SM-G986U1, unlocked, but here's the other thing, that doesn't mean anything because it only says that because I flashed unlocked Android 11 back when I first got it. So I look up my IMEI to find out what my model really is, mine is actually SM-G986N, South Korea region. I look up my Son's and his is right, they match. So I got a Verizon Android 12 from Sam Mobile hoping if I flashed it, it would trigger the 13 update because they don't have the latest Verizon 13 version up yet because remember, only the carrier ones got 13. I'm on Verizon's network with Red Pocket Mobile. I tried flashing that 12 & I get the fused 3 binary 2 error. This is the time I saw your video & I go to SamFw after watching and GUESS WHAT!!! They had the latest Verizon Android 13. I flashed it & it worked fine, I'm all setup and everything is working great. Aside from that annoying "SIM is not activated, contact Verizon" notification even though my service is working fine. But I took care of that, I'm not getting that annoying message anymore. In the end your video led me in the right direction and THANK YOU SO MUCH for the video.
@@LinkSquish You're welcome! Glad you were able to get things sorted! Actually here in India, career locked phones are not even a concept anymore. I think way back in the day, their were iPhones being sold through Airtel (not sure if you have heard of Airtel) and Vodafone probably. It's all unlocked stuff here.
can someone help with this error? (Its on the samsung SM-G715FN Model) error description: SW REW. CHECK FAIL(BOOTLOADER) DEVICE: 13, BINARY: 10 pit_flash_binary - Unsupported Version.
Thans for this video. QUESTION: my divice is very new. (A25) so there is no android 13 version available for it cause this device is natively Android 14. Can I use the downgrade files from Galaxy A24? I really need to downgrade cause 14 is not allowing the installation of a bunch of older. apps that I use.
Downgrading is possible. But not if your Binary has been upgraded. I'm here using Samsung Android since Android 2.2. I guess you were blind through out the video where I downgraded from Android 12 to Android 10.
How do i know which country from my device is? In my case i bought it from oman and in the about section it says UAE after the imei number. Currently im in Bangladesh so which country should i select?
It's ok but is there any trustful website for this? To download the proper os bundle. Because i don't want any virus or some kind of problem after i installed. So i want to download the firmware from the official samsung site
What when got error SW. REV. CHECK FAIL (BOOTLOADER) DEVICE: 11, BINARY: 10 pit_flash_binary - Unsupported Version ? Can only flash current version - cant downgrade
Your binary has been upgrade. Can't downgrade to older binary version. What is your current Build number and what is the Build number of the firmware that you are downgrading to?
My galaxy a12 was hacked, by first a SD card, then by remote viewing, and then she sent a apk to my phone, when I push up, down and power button at the same time it says that my Operating system has been tweaked or changed...I really don't want to get another phone, but I can't factory reset it bcuz my password has been changed... Plz is there anything that I can do on my own Thank you
I believe you have no way into your phone. There is no way I see, you can factory reset through the Recovery. Or theoretically if Debugging is turned on, then may be flashing a TWRP recovery and then factory reseting without wiping data. Hard to say.
Hi, I have a samsung a22 5g with build number a226bxxu5cvka . there is only a downgrade to android 12 if I understand correctly. phone feels sluggish on droid 13 ugh !
Yes you should download and flash the Android 12 Firmware which also has "U5" in the build number. I checked and U5 firmware for Android 12 is available. Download and flash 👍
My wifi and bluetooth stopped working after an update on my Galaxy Z Fold 4, I followed this video and it's working again! I was super skeptical and thinking I was screwed and was gonna switch to an iphone lol... thank you seriously.
I want to downgrade my S20FE 5G because after one UI 5.1 (Android 13) update few days ago the camera quality gets downgrade specially in Night Mode, So I want to downgrade Same Android Version ie 13 but with one UI 5.0 can i apply ur said processes with my mobile as i am only downgrading one UI not Android version
Yea man you can. You can downgrade to whatever android version "you feel" is better. Just binary should match. And all are binary version 4.. so you can downgrade to whatever older firmware available on samfw.
You are right, the binaries must match, otherwise ODIN will report fail. Actually the tablets and phones from Samsung that I used never got their binaries updated like Galaxy Tab 2 P3100/Galaxy Note 3 Neo SM-N750/Galaxy Tab S6 Lite/Galaxy S20 FE 5G..... so I never did this check.
Hi brother, very useful video. 👍 I have a doubt. I am using SM-M215F. (Galaxy M21). (Indian Version) After the recent security update, I couldn't able to select & lock the NETWORK BAND. I have tried SIM ToolKit app but failed. So, I'm planning to downgrade my firmware. After recent updates, my phone's current Build Number is M215FXXU3CWB1. Android Version is 12. (BINARY 3) SECURITY PATCH LEVEL 2023-01-01 I would like to go back to (Before July 2022 security patch) M215FXXS2BVB7. Android 11 (BINARY 2) SECURITY PATCH LEVEL 2022-03-01 Is it possible to downgrade phone Binary 3 to binary 2? Kindly reply.
Ahhhh so sorry bro. Your binary is upgraded. Unfortunately you cannot downgrade anymore because there are no older Android versions with Binary 3. I haven't upgraded by S20 FE 5G to the latest security patch because it's changing the binary.
Hi will buy s21 ultra 5.1 be able to downgrade to android 11 got u6 binary on 5.1 and for 3.0 it's showing me u4 will it be able to downgrade please let me know lots of issues Thanks
i have samsung s20 FE after a recent upgrade I am facing issue with fast charging that's not worknig also the USB data connection issue, i want to downgrade to android 13 to 12 but ODIN gives error with Binary, It seems the current Binary is 6 and I want to downgrade to 5.. is tha possible some how?
Yeah it's not possible anymore due to binary restrictions. I can't go from Android 11 to Android 10 because I have binary 8 and Android 10 only supports binary 7.
I want to go back to the latest update of Android 11 on my S20 FE (I'm currently on Android 13). Therefore I want to go back to G780GXXS3AUL2. However I saw that I'm currently at G780GXXU4EWD2. Does it mean that because my phone is now at "U4" I cant go back to "S3"???
@@techstation365 Damn.... Is there a chance for me to brick my phone if I try to do the rollback anyway? Or is it just going to show an error on Odin saying it failed and I can't do it? I updated to Android 13 and I really don't like what it has done to my battery. Now I can't get to the end of the day without charging it in the afternoon. I already tried cleaning the cache... it helped but didn't solve it.
Hey man, thanx for your video. Just one question, my A51 have different binaries on previous android ROMs. It is on Android 13 binary 8 and the latest Android 12 ROM is binary 5. Can i still do it ? Thanx in advance and greetings from Brazil. PS: I have read your first comment only after i asked the question, sorry. I guess in my case it's a big fat NO, right ? Thanx again.
Yes one can't downgrade to a lower binary from newer binary. But you can downgrade to same binary version. I come from old Samsung Android era, so I didn't know about it. My Galaxy Tab 2 7.0, Galaxy Note 3 Neo and also my S20 FE 5G and Galaxy Tab S6 Lite never got their binaries upgraded when I made this video. So I didn't know about it.
Hello brother, I am new to your channel, I just watched this video and I'd like to ask a favour from you, would you be so willing to check and tell me that will I be able to use this method on my Galaxy M52 5G with latest firmware installed, will I be able to rollback from android 13 to android 11 using odin ?
Mostly they are fake. Samsung has learnt this from Apple. Not allowing to downgrade at will and this way they can force you to upgrade to a newer model by making your perfectly working model worse.
@@techstation365 that's a shame. Why people make fake info up. So annoying 😡😡 I really thought this ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-K1R-DdhhyEc.htmlsi=mikL9rAb8RwOVzCz would work. I'm trying to get from Samsung A12 to A10
Hello brother am currently try to downgrade my samsung s9 to androed 8 oreo i think is name and im wonder if i can downgrade it because my security's patches level is 7 while androids 8 shows 2 so am wondering if i can thanks 🙏

Bro he asked how to downgrade s20fe 5g i tried the same thing you did with the stock frimware version but while flashing it says fused 5 binary 4 help us how to fix it
@@Unknownuser-nf1rh It's your choice bro. But downgrading process is same. Only difference is in the firmware extract, you'll have that CP or MODEM file as S20FE has mobile data, so you have to drag that file to the CP location.
