In this video, i show how to download mega hack v8 in 2.2. if this video helps out, consider dropping a like and subscribing. If it says that the file couldn't be reached, take a look in your windows defender and take a look in the history there. You can then allow the 'threat' in your computer to be opened. Is this a virus? No, the way Mega Hack works is it injects code into GD, which is what trojans do.

btw your antivirus might detect the dll mega hack uses so exclude "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Geometry Dash" from your antivirus

go to your antivirus, settings, there'll be a tab which says "exclusions" or "exceptions" add "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Geometry Dash

Yo I tried everything and even reinstalled the game but pressing tab did nothing. I had v7 for a while and it kept saying successfully installed and my login was successful. Idk whats happening. Edit: Guys to fix it you must make an exclusion in windows security for the steam app geometry dash folder. After that, try installing megahack v8 again and it should be working

when i extract the folder, it only shows five files and none of them do anything. Help? edit: If you have Mcaffee it will literally QUARENTINE THE IMPORTANT FILES IN MEGAHACK WITHOUT TELLING YOU. You have to turn off real-time antivirus for it to work. If it still doesn't work, then go to windows security, then apps and browser control, then reputation-based protection, then turn off check apps and files. If that doesn't work than reply and I will try to help. You may need to restart your computer for this to take effect.

Hey i would like to say that Mega Hack does not work if your system uses a locale that is not a standard US locale because on my system when it's locale was set to Japanese the Mega Hacks installer would not work

whenever I try to install it, it says that it "could not connect" and that's all it says. The install button is also greyed out, so I can't click that. And when I try to click uninstall, it says that it couldn't find install data. I've also tried dropping the megahack files into the gd folder, and it didn't work either. I have deleted and redownloaded it multiple times and it never works. Can I have some help? Edit: I fixed everything else, and know when I click install, it says "failed to write download".

the same happened to me so you have to turn off virus protection (we know mega hack is safe) then uninstall mega hack then reinstall

@@CamIsHigh I found a fix, there was a video uploaded a couple years ago showing how to fix the menu not opening wi5 mega hack V7, and it works w V8 too. Look up “how to fix mega hack v7 menu not opening” and it’s by a smaller RU-vidr with like 800 subs. It worked for me.

i press install then something opens (small dialogue box that is empty) then everything closes, there is no success message like there usually is. Also I noticed the only difference from mine and a friends is that my friend's path is set to the geometry dash folder and not the exe, however i cannot change off the exe i am only allowed to use the exe.

@@Untqld I was able to fix it somehow. I had to install GD and megahack on my laptop (had to install VC++ runtime libraries & disable windows defender) and it worked, so I copied the files from the GD folder, sent them to my pc, and replaced them on my GD folder there. The issue is definitely with windows defender as it flags the installer as a virus and causes the installer to crash

@@t00san this was happening to me and what worked for me was as follows: 1. uninstall and reinstall megahack 2. open GD and click on the windows notif telling you it found a virus 3. in the options for the "virus" click "allow on device" 4. close and then reopen gd if you aren't getting a windows defender notif then idk what's causing it

If you right click on the installer and click show more options then click on properties. There will be an option to unblock it... assuming we had the same issue.

It ran once, then I closed it, now it won't reopen, and every time I download it windows defender just deletes it. Edit: I just added an exclusion for windows defender

yes safe mode is enabled and it cant get disabled until absollute does something (ik bc i beat acu but the game says i have 75, and i cant noclip complete it)

where have half the settings gone? the one in v7 where it automatically sets the speed/mode etc to what it’s meant to be in the level just isn’t there, all of my saved copies of levels to practice on are all messed up, bring it back 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

megahack wont work until absolute updates it, and u could get leaderboard banned for noclipping so just use icon hack

you might have safe mode on meaning that when you cheat in a level it doesn't count as progress

yea mega hack v8 doesnt want to install, same as with 7.1, it says " failed to extract archive: could not open file C:\Users\myuser\desktop\steamygames\steamapps\common\geometry dash\Xinput9_1_0.dll" if you know how to fix this please tell me!
