@helm remove OBSE from your mod manager, then follow this tutorial ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1uBRCV5BvSw.html then re install the mods in the following order > Blockheads > Character Overhaul it worked for me, hope it helps
I looked all over the internet for a guide that would help me fix the blockhead issue and your video helped me fix my issue. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think the most annoying part about modding this game is that some people say "Only use Nexus Mod Manager!" and other people say "Only use Oblivion Mod Manager!" and so many tutorials only show one way and other only show the other. Will someone just PICK A MOD MANAGER. It's absolutely mental how many different ways there are to install the same bloody mod.
Thank you! I'm literally trying this in 2024 using Windows 11 and it was an absolute nightmare. Every time I'd move obse_loader into the directory, it would keep me stuck in a loop of Windows requesting and denying permission. To get around this, I had to straight up turn my antivirus off (which was safe) because newer Windows systems are very panicky. I also tried Wrye Bash and Vortex as mod managers and they both couldn't get this to work. I had to use an older version of Nexus Mod Manager (NMM) to get this to work. Thankyou so much.
i honestly need help with this mod, can ANYONE do it right tbh? I've watched at least 5-6 people and I still can't get it right.. I feel like this is the closest I've ever gotten but 3:50 - 4:01 really screwed me over
EVERYONE I FOUND OUT WHAT YOU NEED TO DO, FIRST OF DO NOT USE MOD ORGANIZER FOR OBLIVION MKAY? INSTALL THE CHARACTER OVERHAUL WITH THE NEXUS MOD MANAGER AND INSTALL BLOCKHEADS MANUALLY BY DROPPING IT INTO PLUGINS
video is very good, tanks you, eu procurava por um tutorial, mas nenhum BR tinha feito, ai vim procurar em videos gringos e consegui, obrigado, e ta funcionando bem até o momento, tanks you :D
TheBroKenMaN xD took me like 5h 2 fuck the game up, can no longer play through obse_loader.exe (some how oblivion.esm is gone, estranges part is that i can play it as i did before. But now all character have this text on there heads "please install headblock") help?
I mean the mod does have some glitches, but if i was you I would just reinstall everything (btw this has happened to me before with many mods) and the solution always been to uninstall any mods that may interfere with the oblivion character overhaul mod, thanks for the feedback
TheBroKenMaN the thing is i don't have a clue where the oblivion manual is. and without it i cant install oblivion (since i had it when it came out for the first time on a disc)
For any people that are having problems installing the mod and then the Nexus mod manager not working afterwards this problem usually occurs because of other mods inferring and causing the mod manager to crash, and stop working either for a short time or and overall. Thank you for your comments, if you're having issues leave a comment and I'll respond as soon as I possibly can (Mostly every week)
It is so incredibly easy! Just install blockhead with NMM (Nexus Mod Manager), make sure that blockhead.dll and blockhead.ini is in Oblivion/Data/OBSE/Plugins. After that's done, which takes a minute, just install this mod with NMM. If that doesn't work, come back.
I've done all the steps, and it seems when I launch from steam that the mod works fine without using the OBSE launcher. Is it possible the mods been updated to work without the launcher, or am I gonna break something in the game when using steam to launch? EDIT: Never mind, seems OBSE doesn't want you to run the game through NMM if you have a steam copy. Thanks for the video, everything works great.
Please leave suggestions on things that you struggled downloading and I'll try my very best to find the solution and release a video helping you and the people who view the video, thank you.
Hey Broken, awesome video, but I have a big question that I cant seem to find an answer for. I download all the files, place them correctly, and used Nexus for installing the overhaul itself. I have no other mods but for some odd reason, everytime I start with this file enabled certain races dont have hair, they have nothing but a black head, they are just floating teeth and eyes, and sometimes, all three. You know any fix for that?
I can't for the life of me get this mod to work lol... Install it and it looks nothing like what I've seen in videos and pictures. Could it be my vid card? 3060 12 gig? Of all the mods I am downloading again and installing this is the most difficult... trial and error I guess.
I have the same background.. More importantly, I've already done everything you've done here and whenever I attempt to start a new game I CTD , after disabling OCOv2 the game works fine, but I don't have a clue on how to fix this, I will continue to look for answers in the meantime, should I find a fix I'll put a comment in.
I've done all these steps, yet nothing happenes at all. I don't even get the blockheads error. Everyone just looks like their Vanilla self. Any suggestions?
+Leonard Liandro sorry for the late response, all you need to do is just copy the obse files into oblivion folder and run the obse_loader instead of the oblivion launcher please personally message me if your having any further trouble :)
Blinkingdogs Actually, I figured out my issues, I extracted all the folders and installed them that way, when I installed them as archives, it worked perfectly. Thanks for the response. : )
I got this tracelog eror: Cant create C:\Program Files (x86)\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\obse_loader.exe, because file with this name already exists. What do I do, I can´t even open the damn NMM now..
How is it Zuul gets 500subs yet you are under subbed? Also your video was 3x more helpfull. Also if you get the install block head issue, copy block head dll file into Obse plugins then when installing oco v2 DON'T overwrite any of the files.
I'm really new to modding, and I'm having trouble with the blockhead download. I downloaded it and opened the file and it says 7z and only contains files having to do with 7 zip. I don't know what I did wrong
When I try to install OCO v2 in NMM it tells me "a problem occurred during install", but I followed everything as you did it in the video, do you know what could be the problem?
Do you use a different language, for example german? If yes, you don't get voices for the NPCs. I'm still looking for a patch, to get the voices back...
I have my OBSE loader in my oblivion file and even tho i tell it to go to the oblivion file and then Obse_loader.exe (tried without exe aswell) It tells me it can't find that file.
It's basically a instruction to run the file and you're suppose to have everything linked; which means you're suppose to have every you clicked to get the OBSE LOADER in the nexus mod manager instruction
I figured it out ! ANd it was stupid on my part, i had D:\ In the beginning when i have a C drive my bad *face palm* But thank you for helping anyway even after one year :)
No problem lad. But if you have anyone more suggestions for videos that would be amazing. But I'll try to be more clear and precise next time; thank you very much for you comment.
