Glad i've kept 1 unit below 7.55, though i haven't really done anything with it yet. I wonder if it's any use at all considering i use hacked PS2, PS3, PSV, XBox360 & WiiU already, beside all the ARM based devices... heck, i need to declutter my life 😂 Anyhow, thanks for another great tutorial !
@@blainelocklair besides, it makes people happy to be able to preserve and play games from the past. What we do now may preserve these classics for the future.
@@davidgill7412 Yeah, you can pick up these systems for cheap these days, i must be up to a total of 20 consoles + 20 awaiting further customisation... quite a number considering that most games i go back to are SNES, GC & PS2-era and almost all of them will emulate fine on my PC... it's about time the current "crisis" ends 😁
Be carefull copying ps1 games to the internal drive. When trying to delete it with ps4 xplorer, you get an error access denied. You can copy the file multiple times, but can't delete.
Hey now that you mention it my ps4 was on a newer firmware so it wouldn’t have been able to be hacked. On another note I have successfully hacked my 2DS following your last 3DS hack video. Thanks man!
Hi there , I have a question, my question is that is it possible to play Wii games such as ( Spiderman shattered dimensions) in PS4 through RetroArch emulator? Thanks for the answer in advance !
nice video sir Blaine can I ask a few question? 1. Is there a way to downgrade higher firmware of Ps4 to 7.55? 2. Why are you not making any Nintendo Switch jailbreak guide? thank you and more power
Can you do this with a PS4 with recent software? I think I am on the latest software from about a year ago. After I got the PS5 I haven't used my PS4 at all.
Why does retroarch keep crashing with an error then wont launch unless I basically do a fresh install. This keeps happening and its really annoying me.
I wasn't able to use it either I ended up just getting an external HDD 2TB and keeping games saved on that and installing/uninstalling as I finish games
Quick question pal, why do you need the BIOS files? You shouldnt need any BIOS files for using Retroarch for Genesis, Snes etc? I dont even think you need it for PS1 if you use PSCX rearmed or Swanstation
First of all, Jordan, BIOS files make things more stable. A simple Google search says, "BIOS files make Cores preferences more stable." and you definitely need them for certain systems. You can do things your way if you want to, but every system I've tried works well. Some people get on here and complain nothing is working for them, well that's probably why, Harold, you probably tried to do things the easy way in your mind instead of what you were told to do by Blaine.
I've been trying to get ps2 working, even though retroarch says it's installed... I can't get it to show up. I've noticed that the installer installs cores as a .self file while installing from within retroarch (regardless of core) installs a .dll core. Any solutions?
That PS4Xplorer is absolutely terrible & forever messing things up! There's a far better & faster way to do through FTP from PS4 to PC directly through an ethernet connection. I get around 70 mbps
Hello, seeking your help. I already have the files to be installed but it having an error installing (CE-36244-9). my ps4 is 6.72, HEN v2.1.3 and v2.1.3b
You will have to format the drive to exFAT then copy your games over and try it again. Also, there is better compatibility on v9.0 so you might as well update to that.
ps4 explorer doesnt show my usb drive when i hit left on the d-pad. and it crashes when ever i try going into the retroarch folder with ps4 explorer. any fixes.
I think the answer is "sorta/kinda". I don't think RetroArch on PS4 natively supports the Dolphin core needed for GameCube/Wii emulation. However, if you get Linux running on your PS4, you can run Dolphin natively in Linux that way.
Works like dog doo doo. Super Nintendo and Genesis have this great feature of pausing like every 30 seconds for some reason. Don't even think about Nintendo 64 or PlayStation 2.
