I'm a beginner, what's the notches for, towards the end of the video?

Hey Mazlina ,notches are used for marking your seam allowances on your finished patterns so when you are sewing you can have reference on your fabric if you forget them. They also mark dart legs for the pattern to make it easy for you to locate the darts when it comes to sewing
