I tried a a cat portrait but it was shedding a powder on the glass in the frame. I would really appreciate any advise.

Is the glass touching the artwork? Or does it have a mount/matte? Also, is it glass in the frame or the plastic/perspex?

@@zaratomsart it has a double mount on the front and glass. But incase very powdery before I put it in. I tried rubbing in again. I think it is the background that seems to be coming off. Thank you so much for taking the time to reply.

@@jandaniel9133 I've not used velour paper before but I have been told that it works quite differently to Pastelmat which is what I use so it may possibly be the paper. I'm not sure on that because I haven't used it but I've never experienced any issues with the pastel transferring onto the glass whilst in the frame if mounted and I use Pastelmat paper.
