I noticed that Jazza explains a lot of stuff in this tutorial he normally wouldn't such as that you don't need to draw digitally and talking about how the things learned here can be applied to people as well. This is a great idea because kids just getting into art will likely see this first as drawing dogs is a very common starting point into art. I know that when I was little all I wanted to do was draw a good dog. Great job on this video Jazza.
To be fair, the "you don't need to draw digitally..." part is very self-explanatory. Of course you don't need to do anything digitally or otherwise, any medium works.
@@lethauntic Often times kids or tbh just people in general who want to get into art only see really good artists online doing digital art. And that causes the general audience to believe that doing things digitally with digital art supplies = good art or that all tutorials done digitally will only be good done digitally. So in reality they are not wrong
Man, Jazza, the consistency and quality of your uploads blows my mind. The way you upload so frequently and produce such high quality videos is an inspiration. Keep it up!
When you've been drawing only people for years and then you find yourself in a situation where you need to draw animals, its a real challenge. Thank you for helping me (and many others) learn how to approach this! Whenever I feel down or out of ideas or just too frustrated to draw I watch your videos and it all comes back to me. Thank you for being a huge inspiration. Hello from Romania! :)
I love how much character those "simple" and neat drawing have! I've always wanted to learn to draw and this actually inspires me to finally get started, because this video breaks down the drawing process into simple, understandable steps; definitely going to start learning to draw my dogs now. Thank you so much!
This is great!! I love drawing dogs and watching people draw dogs, but you rarely see someone actually focus on breeds and their characteristics. This really helps! :)
3:20 Fun fact, dobermans and Manchester’s don’t actually have that kind of ear, at birth their owners often give them surgery, putting pins in their ears to make them look scarier. In some places doing so has become illegal
It's all in the shapes. Each dog has specific shapes you can use to draw them. And that's the big secret to drawing anything really; shapes. Great tutorial as always, Jazza!
This was actually very helpful for incorporating the anatomy into my own style. I get very inspired by you Jazza. I actually learned how to use Flash from you, and its really changed everything for me. (motivation-wise)
I loved this video, I nailed cats a while ago, but always struggled with dogs. Your chihuahua cracks me up though...I know the intention was for a chibi look, but to me that chihuahua is saying "do you even lift bro?" and I am laugh crying! Seriously though, I have followed you for years and you always strike that balance between entertaining and informative.
Well, I want to draw my dog and she is a mix between a Cavalier and a Poodle so this video has really helped me a lot because I can practice both those breeds and then fuse them together to make my dog Roxy. Thank you Jazza ur the best 😁
Your explanations are amazing, may I say, even better than most art teachers. I find your style so easy to follow and so fun :) You have helped me so much with improving my art and actually getting me into animation and I just wanted to say thank you :)
From 2018, watching a video only 2 years ago but Jazza seems so much more natural now than in this video and I'm so proud of where he is now with youtube. thanks for coming to my ted talk
Oh gosh I'm late-- But, this is seriously gonna help me! I'm currently working on a animated series based around (mostly) dogs.. and I've needed help to simplify their structure so it isn't too detailed or too cartoony for the sake of my sanity. Definitely gonna keep these tips in mind!
thank you so much! this is exactly what i was looking for. i am starting to work on a childrens book.. and my initial design was a cartoonish feel-with my dog involved. love it!
This is amazing! I was late because this was uploaded during school, but I have needed this video for so long!!! Was this voted on?? Also, LATE HAPPY BIRTHDAYY Thanks Jazza :D
Not everyone can explain like you, you're awesome and should have way more subscribers ,this is real Content please keep uploading was really helpful!!!
Love the video, Jazza!! (I was so excited when I saw this lol) I personally own a Cavalier, and he's definitely my biggest inspiration. Anytime I get artist's block, I just sketch my dog. Even though I do draw him so much, I'm not very good at drawing dogs, so this was VERY VERY helpful. Thanks so much!
THANK you SOO much ive been trying to find tutorials to draw my dogs and all of them are the same so thank you and your one of my favorite Artists so WIN WIN
i have so many ideas for a comic about a family of 4 different puppies but I've always been held back by my lack of drawing ability. your videos are really inspiring me and I've started to attempt some drawings currently working on an elven archer and doing to try and design my own dogs using your tutorials thanks so much please keep the vids coming. just wish i had your copic pens they are amazing
Yaaaay ^^ I love pugs sooo much (3 I have a pug named Bear. You did a great job showing the features of the dogs as well as adding a "cartoony" affect. I just found this channel and absolutely love it! ( i'm really into anime and cartoon like drawings ) Anyway I love this channel so much and am subscribing for sure ^. ^
Thanks once again Jazza! Your tourtorials are always so good, and such inspiring/inspirational. Now am 12 years old and have been following your channel since I was 10! Keep up the awesome work greetings from Denmark 👍🏿
