This drawing of the feather was psrfect for a project that i am doing for a family member i nick named her two feathers. That feather just touched my heart. I am a cabinet maker so i always have been on the artistic path when i build things. I had looked at a lot of pictures of feathers none hit me as yours did. Beautiful job in black and white.

Don't get me wrong. I have a lot of respect for Lethalchris , but NEVER blend with your finger! Use a tissue or even a cotton swab to blend if you don't have a blending stump. The oils from your skin are going to make your blending get smudged and patchy looking. Other than that awesome tutorial and thank you. ✌️

Great drawing chris well done again. I love drawing in graphite and anything can be drawn in graphite and can look better. however,I'm thinking feathers have some real nice colours and shines and think .....A colour version of this could make a good follow up video???

Starting a drawing from the body or head is about personal preference. Whatever you feel more comfortable doing. :) I personally like to start the drawing with the head. Or if I'm working on a full body drawing, I'll start by placing a rough sketch of the whole body first - without any details. And then I render the details of the drawing from there.

when i try to do the fluffiness and the lines on the feather it doesnt turn out like yours i am using a wodden pencil and i dont have a mechanical one. How can i fix it

Thank you so much for the support, Germana. :) Yep, I use the same one for most of my pencil drawings. (It's a Pentel P207 0.7mm mechanical pencil with HB leads.) Sometimes I also use a regular 6B pencil to add extra tone.
