I like the idea of usuing the woodless pencils to make graphite powder. Have some lying around, not very much used, this is a very good way to finally do something with them. Also nice drawing.

Between all the entertaining this weekend I have managed to snatch the time to watch the step by step real time videos of this on patreon. I have to say it's taken away my fear of doing anything with the graphite powder technique, they never seemed to go right for me before but you have made it so much easier to understand and follow. I will definitely be doing this it's the sort of scene I love and I hope I can do it justice. The video before that on how to draw generic trees will also be so helpful for any picture but this one as well. I'm thinking pizza trees lol I will never look at one in the same way again. The best thing that ever happened for me was discovering your channel and joining you on patreon I am learning so much

Thanks very much Margaret, I'm sure this one will go well for you, graphite powder technique is deceptively easy, it works on any type of paper, and great fun to do, but like everything it takes some getting use to, but that wont take long.

Unbelievable Smoothie mate, I was just thinking last night that I hadn't seen a video from my good friend Smoothie in a while so I checked out your channel and noticed that you put a couple up lately but RU-vid doesn't always notify. About an hour or so later because I looked on your site at about Midnight give or take, this video pops up, so I was over the moon. As always my friend an absolutely amazing tutorial and beautiful picture. I'll definitely be supporting you mate on Patreon after Christmas because your work is more than worth the money. I just have 3 kids who have left the Santa thing behind them now so we can't tell them Santas helpers had flu and couldn't make a particularly expensive unrealistic gift 😂😂😂. hey smoothie, that is fairly easy and yet super cool drawing! I loved the drawing but can you give me full list of your tools since my english is not my native i really did not understand few thıngs such as waterless pencil? what exactly is that :D also ı dıd not understand how you did that powder, whıch pencıl you used? Or is that another way to buy such thing? If you can help ı would really lıke ıt. One last thing, is there any personal channel of you to ask some tips and advice ? I need some guiding... Hi, just wondering whether the eraser pen you use is worth the high price in comparison to the battery operated Derwent eraser pens that are more like 5 pound? Not sure what the difference is?

Hi Oscar, and welcome, you will find those videos in the "beginners" section, if you go to the "posts" page, then look on the left, you will see a margin that says "tags" look there and you will see the tag called "beginners" the videos for this are there, you may need to scroll down a bit to get to them, if you need anymore help, please feel free to ask.

Hi, If you go to the "posts" page you will see "tags" on the left side margine, look through those tags until you see "beginners" you will find it in that section, its about 2 or 3 pages down, so not too far to scroll, if you need anymore help please ask.
