Learn the easy steps to draw ✍️ and label a self inflating resuscitation bag (AMBU, Laerdal) in under 2 minutes ⏱. A quick short from yesterday’s session. Useful to know and learn for the 2020A12 and 2022A6 SAQ question in the ANZCA Primary Exam, "Using a labelled diagram, describe how a self-inflating bag-valve-mask resuscitation device works."
There are 9 things to describe and they are easier to remember in story form (see video):
1. O2
2. Self inflating bag
3. Reservoir bag
4. Pressure valve
5. Pop off valve
6. One way valve
7. Duck bill mechanism or expiratory valve
8. PEEP valve
9. Air inlet valve
