My buddy and I put in for Wyoming pronghorn this year. First endeavor into western hunting. Here’s hoping.

Thanks for sharing Randy. As you might know by how many times I have mentioned it over the years on your videos this is the hunt that I have wanted to do for a few years now. I want to hunt pronghorn in every state that I can as a non resident. DIY public land style no matter what weapon type gets me a tag 🏷 the fastest. It’s called Pronghorn Pursuit. Wyoming is obviously 1st on my list. I currently have 3 points in Wyoming for both pronghorn and deer 🦌 and would love to do a 7-10 day combo hunt. I would hunt deer 🦌 in the morning and evening and pronghorn during the middle of the day. I was going to do special for pronghorn since it would give me much better access and regular for deer 🦌 since the general tag 🏷 is for a region, giving me more land to work with. Sadly most pronghorn units at 4 points or under for regular draw are for units with 20% or less public land. I will definitely have to check out the HMA and WIHA in those areas. I also know that I will have my youngest brother and dad who are at the 0 point level and if we party app we would go in at 1.5 points. This video was packed with information but party app was left out. However when doing a party app I will definitely have to check tag 🏷 quotas. I would hate for us not to draw because we applied in a unit with not many tags 🏷 and the 80/20 split screws us.

Back around 2007 we in Utah would draw Wyoming just about every two years. That would be putting in group for deer. Couple years ago one in our group put in alone with zero points and drew. Unheard of these days. That was a prime area. Rich mans game.

Non-resident: Does it hurt or help if you're low/no points and apply for doe only versus general deer? iow: If my son and I apply for doe only deer tags versus general deer would we be more likely to draw tags than if we applied for general deer tags? Thanks for doing this video.

At least you can make some assumptions unlike Arizona. When did so many people start hunting? I thought hunting was a dying sport. Thanks Randy I got a cow elk tag and I'm waiting on my deer and antelope. Should be around June 15th.

Wyoming announced they have reduced 2022 Deer and Pronghorn tags by 11,500.

Put in for a general NR elk tag. They've had my $700 bucks for about four months now, and I still may not get a tag. Wondering how do anti-trust, and usury laws work. Gotta be something consumer unfriendly about this picture. 🤔

Wyoming has reduced Mule deer tags. Their Mule Deer are declining. Elk are way over objectives and are pushing the deer out of prime habitat. "The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is reducing the number of pronghorn and mule deer hunting tags for this year. Officials say it is largely due to disease and drought. The department will be cutting 8,000 pronghorn licenses and 3,300 mule deer licenses for the 2022 hunting season."
