just remember every artist that you’ve ever admired at some point in time drew their first circle… and I bet you it wasn’t that good.

Honestly even if it's just a sketch I loved the first one, it brought tears to my eyes hearing you explain the story and setting the narrative. The other ones are also beautiful of course, but this one spoke to me the most. Love the stuff, keep it up and thank you for inspiring me

Well, now I’m going to get emotional. Seriously, hearing that everyone loves these sketches, connects with them, and are inspired by them… that makes my day, so thank you for taking the time to leave a comment!

I was very happy with the pt-br subtitles, thanks for having remembered ^^ I managed to understand everything. My vote goes to number 2, I think her style is very unique And it seems to have a strong personality, for sure it would go with some pink or blue hair, for sure I would do a "draw it in your style" would be awesome. Great video as always ^^

Thanks for letting me know the subtitles were good. I’m glad the subtitles were helpful. I’ll put another vote down for number 2. I like the blue hair, I’ll have to remember to give that a try.

Me: i like the 3rd one Jr: I like the 4th one Me: I like the 4th one But still i love thissssssss!!! (Btw, what motivates you to make such amazing art? Ive tried digital art and it’s absolutely exhausting, I tend to make an artwork that i really like but leave it halfway and eventually forget about it 😅) I love your art, keep it up!🔥🔥

Well right now number 3 is in the lead, which I’m honestly fine with. 3 was my second favorite. I meant what I said, I’ll paint which ever one the majority of people want to see.

(Correct me if I’m wrong) To me it sounds like you start your artwork with a lot of passion and inspiration but then that slowly fades away as you’re faced with the daunting task of tackling the rest of the painting, is that right? If so, there are a couple of things that “might” be able to help you (things that I have used in the past to get over that hurdle). First off, find some step by step images and painting videos that are in an art style you would like to emulate or at the very least learn from. And set your sights on the very next stage of development. In other words, don’t worry about someone else’s finished artwork as your “immediate” goal. That can lead directly to feeling overwhelmed and is a real motivation killer. Instead, if you were at the Sketching Stage, the goal you should have your eye on is flat colors, and then basic lighting, followed by details and texture, or however the painting you’re studying develops. Use the steps you see along the way as a roadmap to be followed and don’t worry about the complexity of the finished product just focus on the step that is immediately in front of you and paint towards that. Nowadays, I usually put a painting video and some music on in the background, and even if I’m not following along with someone else’s art… Just having the video playing and occasionally glancing at it is a helpful reminder to pace myself and only worry about the next step in front of me. Now, while that can help with staying focused, if you’re like me, that will only get you so far… at some point there will be a wall you’ll hit. A point where your skill will start to feel inadequate to tackle the next goal, and I wish I had a magic solution for that… but the truth is that that’s where repetitive practice through trial and error comes through. Being persistent and stubborn can help power through those difficulties, but not without a lot of effort expended along the way. Hitting that wall is something I still deal with, and it happens every time I work towards expanding my skills into learning something new. When I’m really stuck I seek advice from people I know. Often times getting a second pair of eyes to look at an artwork can spot problems that I overlooked, but you need to find someone who not only knows what they’re talking about but is also willing to give honest feedback. (Even if it can be frustrating to have all the flaws pointed out to me, it still proves helpful) Staying motivated isn’t always easy, and it really does help me that all of you are so positive and encouraging! And for that, I owe you and everyone else that’s part of this community a big thank you! Ultimately, you’ve got a foundation for a great art style. I took a look at your Beidou RU-vid short, and the sketch and line work was impressive. I know I gave a bit of a long winded answer to your question, but the topic of “staying motivated” is a broad one, and I wanted my answer to be helpful to whatever stage you’re at. Anyways I do hope this answer helps you out.

@@JRsJunkDrawer oh my god thank you soooo much for taking the time to write all this down, i went through every single sentence and i definitely owe you one too! Every artist that i look at always just show the process and the result, they never reveal the actual grind that they needed to get through before creating their final piece. And im so happy i found a channel like yours, you’re so humble and i really appreciate all the effort you put in to your artwork and art advice. Ill try to follow what you’ve said and try to take my time with my artworks now. I’ll keep you updated on the process ive made over time and again a big thanks for this🎉🎉

I hope you enjoyed this sketching episode and found the art tips useful! Sketch number 4 got the most votes! It was close though, sketch 3 almost pulled ahead at the last. I'm now working on the painting process video for our elven archer character!
