I feel like the hardest thing to draw is perspective or the distance between someone or an object.

@houndgirl7365
@houndgirl7365 10 месяцев назад
@doclouis4236 saying he is giving college level info for 12 bucks that can be used for other creatures to create a stable foundation that 'pay wall' is actually pretty cheap and just to note artists not too long ago DID have to go to some kind of school, have a know how, or just have good artistic instinct. Pay walls help pay the artist it's one way to make money, so yes if you want to learn either apply the knowledge what you have here and work on it yourself or save to buy access so that you have professional Guidance/community access. Honestly yes the technique is important, but to an experienced person the critique is beyond invaluable because that pushes you to grow if done so right (some people don't know how to critique) I learned this from my college art courses.

This serie of video is by FAR the best gesture-wise class out there. For pro artists, gesture is like a second nature at this point, and they have a really hard time explaining it to beginner artists, like it's hard for us to explain how to walk or breath in detail. But you really put in the effort of explaining exaclty what you're doing, what you're looking for, and the whole process. This will very certainly increase the level of many beginner artists. Thank you.

I have been practicing anatomy for the past year or so like delving all my focus to improve my anatomical skills. Understanding and apply the muscles helped with the legs (for its my most difficult part of the body to grasp), it just always felt stiff than I wanted it to be but you basically saved my life with just this video and I am absolutely grateful as always 😭💜 thank you thank you thank youu!

Hi Stan, I really think you should do a section dedicated to how to draw foreshortening whilst keeping anatomy in mind, because it is so unbelievably difficult, as well as a section on facial features that goes more in depth. I've been studying for a long time and still really struggle with these things and no book, video or online course has helped me much, because there is so much missing information or it isn't straightforward enough, I mean for example you can't really just draw a standard eye or mouth and have it convey different emotions, you have to know how they change shape/are pushed or pulled by muscles, or how perspective affects how the features are drawn, hair as well. Hair changes at different angles, but there is no information for that. Anatomy is very simple to me, but foreshortening, perspective and how all of the anatomy changes through this confuses me to the point of frustration and tears, as someone who struggles to draw from observation, studying has failed me, because there are no explanations for these very specific issues.

I don't like the idea of having to curve the leg that much (6:57) just because it's a female body. 😬 I prefer to do it exactly like the first leg, with the knee straighter, rather than rotated on the inside. It remind me of some trashy drawing japanese guides books, where they don't know what a female body looks like, and I hate it even though it's a " style choice" hahaha
@MusicalRaichu
@MusicalRaichu 10 месяцев назад
sorry i gave up after a few minutes. sure, sticking blocks together makes a robotic pose, but your drawings also look unnatural, like blobs of stretched chewing gum. the leg you drew at the start looks more like cat's than a human's. don't understand why you use the term "rhythm". a rhythm is a repeating pattern.
@ragingpoop8658
@ragingpoop8658 3 месяца назад
Maybe a followup video on this but on foreshortened figures and/or limbs? I'm curious as to what happens to the rhythms when the body or the arms and legs are pointed a bit towards the camera or towards the back. What happens to the Reilly Rhythm from the last video?
