ik im like a day late, but id really like to thank Draw like a Sir for not only helping me recognize my mistakes, but also give me inspiration for drawing my manga. my manga is almost done and its set to release next year or so...
when i decide to start my art journey almost 5 months ago, youtube recommended me your "how to draw bodies", since then always happy to see your videos! i improved a lot(i hope) thanks to you Marcel, many thanks ♥
These videos are great even for primarily digital artists. I know an artist who does insanely detailed crosshatching sketch work that take hours all on his tablet. There might be tools that make things easy in digital art, but too many tools can take away that hand drawn feel which can make a drawing feel lifeless.
Honestly I will subscribe and like every video I watch from now on cuz your videos are amazingly entertaining and educational. I mean, I don't even draw that much but just because of your personality and hardwork I'll do my best to support you!!
Man i love these videos everytime I get a notification from this channel I just get excited Pls keep up the great work I'm subscribed and I left a like
this was a very high quality tutorial! I could tell you put a lot of work into it. I'll be honest, I thought I was already subbed to you since I keep getting your new videos recommended anyway, but turns out I wasn't. I have now, but keep it up! You're very talented.
Hello, i am drawing anime for my instagram and peoples ask me"how i am drawing 😅how i learn "and i answer them to check your videos 👍really your tutorials are very good explained 👌
This really helps alot!! I been a fan of Boichi the Author of Sun Ken-Rock, But i dont know where to start, I have a decent knowledge about anatomy but not shading, and it looks flat all the time. good thing this video came out at a right time!
I just started actually trying to learn how to draw because I have alaways had a love for art but I was never good at it but you have REALLY started to help me, everyday I’m progressing. 🙏🏼
Man… I am the same type of person to draw as I see and not really know how to “build” the drawing step by step. Never really thought about it like that. Thanks!
This is perfect! I've always wanted to cross hatch the way you do. I can't wait to see the inking video too if your going to upload that one! Thank you again so much for all of your videos! Truly super helpful!!
By the way when i said 'you know what i mean' i meant the cross hatching you did in your art book Also your art book really inspired me thank you again
You sir are amazing, im someone who hopes to be able to create my own manga, and with that everytime i get an idea i would write it all down, but i suck ass... HARD. The only drawings ive been doing is copying, its like being a printer like you said, i can make drawings well when im copying, but if i were to make my own its just a complete abyss when you dont understand the basics, but seeing your videos, watching them and hearing you talk, just gives me an inspiration to improve. But knowing myself ill probably forget this sooner. Thank you good sir!
Wait who gave that comment . Well i hope is helpful to him and others by the way i love all your vedios matter what . And you know what i know how to draw now thanks to you Marcel
The problem with me is I dont know how long to make the strokes. Like how far should they go to give it that nice highlight in the end. Also the space of each strokes is weird. Like what stops me from making all my marks tight but make my darker values darker by cross hatching/making more marks. Hatching is so difficult for me
I learned so much from you, your truly amazing I am so grateful that see your videos am really happy to come this far with my art so thanks fir making me improve.
Rule of thumb* if you want to use a ruler or something similar to that to get straight lines using nib pens, tap some quarters or Pennie’s to the back of the ruler cause chances are ink is gonna get rubbed on the ruler and smear all over your page, but the slight elevation from the coins prevents this
