Hello! In this short 'How to draw fur' tutorial video I explain how to draw realistic fur with pastel pencils, or at least I describe how I do it haha. This is the technique I use when drawing realistic looking fur, although every type and color of fur has its little differences when it comes to drawing them. This is just a very basic tutorial. I hope you like it!

Is this technique used only for pastel pencil or it can be used for colour pencils???.... And thank you for this simple and clear tutorial 👏👏👏😄.. Helped a lot

swati reddy You're welcome! this technique can only be used for pastel pencils. With colored pencils you aren't able to draw light hairs on top of darker colors. Then you basically have to work the other way around:)

I can understand how to draw, but the important that I haven't buy some of those color Pencil so I just draw it with gray pencil( just 1 color )

How come the lighter colors don't smudge with the darker colors when you draw over it? And do you clean you lighter color pencils every now and then? cause for me they always get dirty from the darker color in no time :(

No, you can't blend with coloured pencils
