This step-by-step gold drawing tutorial will bring some shine to your adult coloring pages and drawings! Learn how to draw gold and other metallic textures with colored pencils and some simple coloring and blending techniques.
It’s not as hard as it looks, because I’ll take you through step-by-step, showing you the colors that make gold (hint: it’s not your metallic pencils!) and some helpful gold patterns and pencil blending techniques you can practice to create gold effects in your coloring pages.
I’ll also show you some more advanced gold drawings and how you can create more realistic gold with colored pencils using reference images, even if the reference image isn’t something gold!

I’m using Prismacolor Premier colored pencils throughout the examples in this video, but you can do this with any pencils, and can even follow these basic coloring techniques with markers or other drawing tools.
