I'm a new sub to your channel.. I'm a little vintage for probably most if not all of your subs.. I've been doing a version of my own lettering based on Old English that I've been doing since Jr High.. I've never tagged anything..just greeting card envelopes, etc. But, I'm also into trains..and I've become really interested in the various styles of graffiti.. It's an art form that is truly free to express. I've watched a few of your vids now and I've found them so informative, clear and easy to follow that I want to binge watch your channel uploads. Thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge.

Nah but all jokes aside great vid when im sketching out a piece before I go paint, some times I get carried away with the embelishments and have to bring myself back to "the basics". This is a really good tutorial for newer artists. Shit I been drawing letters since I can remember and painting for 3 years and I still am learning little things. Good shit

Awesome channel. Used to tag but lost all my lettering skills. Haven't practiced in over 10 years. Back to the basics. But I never learned any of this rudementary stuff so I'm loving it. Going to leave then pass it down to the kids

i feel that! none of my pieces (no matter if on walls, canvas, paper, in B/W or in color) is what it supposed to be in the end. But most of this clips are helpful fr!
@@evilernie6908 I'm currently working on an Arabic proverb/quote. (A real pearl of wisdom!) - But since I have no idea about the language, I've been told 10 times "No, this little line changes everything!" or just a wrong angle and nobody knows who speaks the language, what I tried to design ... THAT are real setbacks! I put 2 Chinese quotes on walls that every Chinese can read immediately. But Arabic doesn't forgive mistakes. ^^
your tutorials are great but I'm always having a hard time being creative since I'm not really good at drawing and i don't have your kind of vision and how you see and break down the letter, throwies are much easier for me but this wild style is really hard for me to learn... idk what I'm doing wrong but i keep rewatching your vids trynna get better at it
Nice videos you break it down pretty well. Wish it was easy for us back in the day . There wasn’t RU-vid or how to videos. I tell people stick to basic style “”DO NOT “”! !! Try and jump into wildstyle or anything advance. You can make basic stuff look badass.. I tell them I would hate for someone to jump the gun thinking there good and throw up there piece then get called a “Toy” that would really detour someone..
Can you please show how to stack or run 1 D into the Next in EDDIE it can get annoying trying to get 2 symmetrical D’s to Flow with the rest of the letters
Great vid, thanks! Total n00b question.....can you tell me, when you're doing a whole word...or say, the whole alphabet on a page...do you start out with a whole set of lines, then box them all in, then finish.....OR do you line/box/finish each letter one at a time before going to the next letter?
totally depends, but I prefer to layout all the boxes and ten start stylizing them. That way you can make choices based of of the layout from the neighboring letters

Keilana Singh oink art is back up and running now but haven’t crossed paths with James in a minute. From what I know it is a side hustle so the time and involvement just got huge with trying to develop a line of paint. I believe he has plans to bring it back eventually

ironically if YOU followed your own advice your pieces wouldnt STILL look TOY over a full DECADE later, make your pieces more like that 1st styled cursive barred D you made and youd have much nicer looking pieces
