This organic chemistry video tutorial explains how to draw the proton nmr spectrum of an organic molecule by counting the number of signals, estimating the chemical shifts of the different types of hydrogen atoms, identifying the spin-spin splitting pattern, and considering the integration of the peaks as well. This video contains 2 example problems on H-NMR spectroscopy.

May i ask if you would be willing to try out the light blue color instead of dark blue Just asking because light blue stands out more Well all bright colors do but you get my point Thanks for making this kind of videos they are helpful to students I wish you did videos before when i was in school because i would get straight best marks on every test because your way of teaching makes everything clear and understandible Keep up the good work

What I don’t understand is where are we suppose to get the shifts from and do we even have to memorize them for a test? It seems like too much for me idk

Usually the shifts for common groups are given in your textbook.

I guess one also should mention, that the more a signal is splitting the less height it will have. Is this correct?

It's an inert compound used as a reference following some arbitrary rules and use to predict the ppm of other organic compound

not correct try to compare signals made by protons(A) and those in (c) if that was true as you say we should expect that signal (C) it has to be shorter than that of (A)
