In this video I am explaining the method I use for dressing corners on 140mm walling stone using my Riley 2 1/2 pitching chisel and my Punch Walling hammer.
Thank you for watching and please check out my stone industry content

This was a good little video and still quite informative. I just watched some of your work on the church stone and I'd like to agree with another comment on their about what an ambassador you are not only for your skills but for the Yorkshire accent. It is so good to be able to listen to good honest content without any effing and blinding. I would say sound as a pound but with the economy as it is I think your work might be sounder. Good on ye!

Thanks for another great video James! I notice you mostly use your pitcher for tracing/nicking. Is there a technical reason for that or is it simply to avoid changing tools ? Cheers, Mark!

I have used a pitcher for so long It what I have become accustomed to using mate. I don't like using a nicker for corners because of the pitch it leaves on the end

depends how you define a castle, people were stoneworking before metal tools. In the modern day castle project they use pig iron chisels and have to sharpen them every 20-30 mins.
