Yes!!! One thing I always notice about her videos is that I never feel excluded. Can't pinpoint how she does it, but I always feel that so she truly caters to all of us.
As a Floridian that only gets to wear a coat once maybe twice a year, I WISH I could wear winter fashion more often. So many different color/texture/style options!
I can totally relate as someone from Hawaii, my friends and I dream of wearing cozy winter clothes! I still wear a turtleneck tho when it's bearably cool enough
Trust me, the idea of it is better than the actual thing. Months at a time covered from head to toe, always keeping in mind the temperature of your environment, and minding slush, mud, snow, rain is no bueno. If you’re dressed fine for a walk, when you get inside, you start sweating. If you work at a desk job and don’t get a lot of movement, you get cold. If you’re coming from outside and there’s snow and mud, you drag all of it inside with your shoes. Feminine outfits are good for dressing up, but if you mostly do errands during the day, you resort to boots, leggings and a warm cover up - as you don’t need to be in your Sunday best for dragging groceries or going to the gym.
@@mariyadikova you're so right! Not talking about the temperature flactuations when going inside from the outside and vice versa. You always need a lot of layers to take them off when inside then put them on when going out. It is a pain in the ass especially if you are someone who can't tolerate cold temperatures well. I live in a city and when I go by bus or subway in the winter I always sweat and get too hot but then when out it is freezing cold again... I dream of living in a tropical place where you don't need clothing and layers all year long
I’m not a homemaker nor am I religious but I love your personality, eloquence and feminine vibes so much. Your videos make me want to live my best life everyday. Thank you so much for all your tips and advice and for being the sister that so many of us never had. I also really appreciate your sensitivity towards including diversity in all your content. Always remain the same warm, cheerful and down-to-earth person you are. Lots of love and good wishes to you, your husband and Harley!
You look so adorable! Just changed my style to a more vintage 40s/50s feminine. I love that time! Women actually dressed even casual dress was feminine. Love the winter dresses, sweaters, trousers, tights. I'm in heaven!!
Yess!! You always slay these videos. Future videos I would love to see is a book list, your future goals, financial talk/frugal living, bathing suits, more cooking/baking, vlogs and home tour. I know this could be over time and what you are comfortable with. I just really feel encouraged by you. 💗💗
Great tips! I struggle with this in the winter because I just get SO COLD all the time, even indoors. One thing that helps is to have some warm, thin under layers like Cuddl Duds or tights. You can easily add thin layers of warmth that really add up without adding too much bulk.
I love this and I recently got a winter coat that makes me feel so feminine. I really love it. I live in Sweden so we have a real cold winter. I have always felt drawn to colors when it comes to clothing, so I really never choose black clothes or jackets. I don't feel good in black clothing. The black little dress is different though but mainly I am colorful. However, the winter jacket that I use when it's super cold is black but with a feminine fit but all the rest on me is of color. I also love bringing in more light pink, baby pink, I feel how I just melt into my feminine more when there's a little pink - my favorite is floral. I really feel like I could be a flower in human form, it just makes me feel SO good to wear floral print but not on winter clothes of course. 😄
I'm in the south but I'm moving up north in January and I just pray it isn't too bad since I'm still a lot further south than New York. Looooove all your tips!!! Also the diversity in your videos always makes me soooooo happy. I love you so much for it.
please ignore the hate beautiful, you are blessed and even though i've only found you yesterday i feel so empowered and close to you, as a 16 year old girl trying to find her way you're really showing me
I love how she includes pictures of all ethnicities! It's so inclusive! ^-^ I am mixed so it's nice I can still feel inspired watching this! She is really nice, I'm happy I found this channel! I wish when I was a teen I'd have this kind of content out there. I was always naturally feminine but some of my female friends would mock me on that only to see that now they are the ones trying to get in touch with their femininity
I needed this video. I usually disliked dressing for the winter because I now realize I was wearing the wrong type of jackets and dark colors. Now I have bought some more fitted jackets and colorful boots. Your Instagram stories inspire my outfits sometimes. You really slay these winter looks. ♥️
Caitlin, I deeply appreciate all your videos and love how you carry yourself with such class and grace. It’s inspiring to me as a 20 something woman in this modern world ❤️ I feel like we are soul sisters every time I watch a new video of yours 😍
Any static hacks? I am the static queen 👸especially with my waist long hair. I usually put some type of product in it but honestly haven’t found a winner yet.
Thank you!! There are so many great feminine modest oriented bloggers out there that live in warm climates. And I so need help as I live in the upper Midwest America. Loved this. Very informative and lots of ideas!
My best friend referred to me this video bc she is tired of my "light green" and other inappropriate colors and fabrics in the winter.🤣😭 But honestly i like certain colors and being free so i just wear what makes me happy, (pastels and short sleeves), modestly and appropriate for the occasion of course. Good video!
Hi Mrs. Midwest!! Love your videos as always. This was so inspiring for me, as a college student in snowy Ithaca NY, it is hard to feel pretty during the winter! Your tips were fantastic. Do you have any tips on winter shoes? I really struggled balancing a mix of winter snow boots, feminine boots, and everything in-between. Also would love a video on feelings of insecurities and accepting love. Love from Cornell University! Jessica
As an Alaskan who now lives in the Mid-Atlantic: light jackets make for horrific amounts of laundry. You'll be dirty the first time I have to walk outside, or carry a coffee as you hurry to work or school. Also, darker clothes are warmer, as they absorb heat.
A very good video and great tips. I live in Canada and I agree that it's difficult to look feminine dressed as an Eskimo. I'm a warm soft muted Spring and I appreciate how you brougt that topic up. So totally relatable. Also, those skiing tips are point on. A very good video.
Really excited for this! I go all out with feminine fashion in the warmer months, but I can’t stand the cold so I just bundle up as much as possible, and, well, it’s not very cute
Another cute detail you can add to your winter/autumn clothes, socks!! Cute and pretty socks can make everything better, with skirts, dresses, vintage clothes... There are some interesting discussions you could have about socks and how people view them, but never mind 🌲🌲🌝🌲🌲
Socks can be cute over tights, thick stockings, leggings or long johns. Socks by their self in a cold environment will make your legs cold if you are wearing a dress.
Can you please do videos on how to tell your colour season?? I have tried to look it up online and watched a couple videos but they've only left me more confused. I would really love to find my season so i can add pieces to my wardrobe that bring out my features more =) Thank you for sharing❤ Absolutely adore your videos🤗💗💗💗
winter to me is a nightmare but these past few years i think i made it work. ESPECIALLY with beige jacket that i have. we have really cold winters and i hate winter personally but i have to make it work
Ahh this is so helpful! Thank you so much!! May I ask what lipstick that you're wearing in this video? It looks Absoluety charming on you and It's the perfect shade during the winter!
I've discovered you for a while now and i admire you very much❤ i know its not connected to the topic of the video but i really want to know what you think about Girl defined❤
I saw that pic of an older lady!🙌🙌 Thank you, Kaitlyn, for including us. We are out here watching.❤ I'm gonna get some criticism, but, I'll say it anyway. Ladies...skip the white/cream coats if you live in a climate with a lot of snow, slush, muck, dirty vehicles parked too close in a parking lot, etc. It is not cute when your cute coat shows every bit of dirt and you have to constantly wash it or dryclean it. Being a mom up in Canada, I've seen my fair share of women with dirty cuffs or dirt marks. They make so many fabulous, feminine coats in navy blue, maroon, plum, burgandy, yes, even black & brown. With the right hat, scarf, & mitts, you will look great.💃
You always have superb taste! I really admire your love and dedication to health, wellness, fashion and beauty. Would love to raid your closet lol. Will use these tips as it’s starting to get super cold where I live
After watching her about "elegance" (a new subscriber Lol)... Here I am binge watching all her videos cuz I find her so informative. I found another person whom I can look up to. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and wisdom. Continue to touch everyone's heart and God bless ❤
Wow. It's so cool that so many people get to step out of their house and see snowfall while I'm in a tropical Asian country. It's so incredible sometimes, our planet. 😄 will always be a life long dream of mine to see snowfall :) I think I'd actually cry. Lucky lucky you Caitlin 💕
