When I got my sternum done I obv cleaned up before hand but it hurt! I sweated alott ever since I bring my stick of deoderant too just incase i have a super sensitive long session.

When i have tattoo session I wear very relaxed Just as I am, a Dickies bermuda a T shirt a Black tank top cause if my tattoo artist will work no my arm sometimes The aire conditioner Is very cold... So I wear comfortable for The session... I never use white T Shirt 'cause The ink, U know!!!...🙄 The skull on your leg Is *BADASS* MAN! 😎👍 I hope you're well and tour sis too 😜!

For the chest/sternum tattoos, ladies make sure you wear pasties unless you are super comfortable with your breasts being exposed. I’m sure the artist will cover you anyways but it’s better to be prepared. I did it fo my sternum tattoo and it made life a lot easier.

For anyone getting a back tattoo, a button up shirt worn backwards can be a nice option to have some coverage while keeping the back accessible. Also, if I get tattoos on my lower leg or ankle area, I bring along a clean black pair of socks (I have everything from ankle to knee socks, so I choose the height based on the tattoo placement and temps). Once I get to the shop, I change into the clean socks. I feel like it's nice for the artist if they are going to have my foot anywhere close to their face for a while for my socks to be as clean as possible.

I don’t have any tattoos yet, but I am scheduled for 2 full day sessions 14 days apart this November and December. I appreciate knowing that you get cold especially for longer sittings. So as much as I would have dressed properly, I would never have thought about feeling cold. I always learn something from your videos. Thanks Justin!

I ALWAYS plan ahead what I'm going to wear! I consider his accessibility, any modesty issues as it's an open shop, I consider the fact my clothes may get ink on them, everything lol If I'm going to straight to the shop it's no biggie, I dress and go, otherwise I keep my tattoo clothes in my bag and just change when I get there. I even have a spare tattoo outfit that stays in my bag in case plans change when I get there which did happen recently. Once I got there he decided the placement would work better on my arm instead on my leg as we'd planned. Guess what...no problem! That little bit of preplanning goes a long way to making the process easier for me and my artist and avoids uncomfortable situations in an open shop too LOL

For chest and back tattoos I would advise on a zip up hoodie because you can put it on like normal and your back and arms are covered but you can reverse it and cover your chest and arms 😊

After Booking my 2 day Session, the First thing I was thinking about was what to wear, not only during the sessions but also the week following 😅 It’s not that easy in winter with a fresh tattoo on the tights, hips and stomach. At least I try not to end up freezing to death🥶

I seen a hack for getting back tattoos on tiktok - don't know if its actually functional but you basically wear a zip hoodie/sweater back to front! So the zip is on your back therefor keeping your arms and front warm and covered (breasts for ladies) and the artist can still access your back!

Just found your channel and loved it. I have several tattoos and I would add long skirts are a must for girls (and guys too) getting tattos on legs and the butt area, it let you keep one of the legs warm while the other one uncovered.

I'm getting mine on my hip and I saw in my artist’s portfolio that she has her clients in her underwear. I thought maybe just having the leg being worked on out and the other in to keep warm/decent. Maybe even a small folded blanket for the upper half of the body. I'm trying to figure it before my appointment this week lol

I try to wear what will make the area fully accessible, but sometimes, working on parch work sleeves things land in a place I wasn’t expecting. One time I thought I could roll my pants out the area, but couldn't. My tattoo artist lent me a pain of his gym shorts, but problem are infrequent. I rarely get cold. Depending on the shop I've been able to walk around the place in boxers during breaks.

hi love , wear a flannel or button up and when you get there put it on backwards if that makes sense. my tattoo artist was very grateful when i came with it on because it was so convenient

I always think about my clothing before my appointment, my upcoming one next weekend is my hip and leg so I'll be wearing a black dress because I'm not putting pants over that haha but I'll be bringing a sweater in case I get cold since it will be a super long session

I'm one of those people that gets cold easily so for my upcoming arm tattoo I'm planning on wearing a tank top but also wearing a zip up sweater to keep my other arm and torso warm while keeping the arm getting tattooed available. I have experience with this same idea on the arm though from donating blood

For me clothing is something to consider like when I got my forearm wolf tattoo done I wore a tank top just in case if the ink got on the shirt and no sleeve so the artist will have an easier time placing the tattoo

My favorite "tattoo pants" are sweats that have no elastic, draw string waist & flared bottoms. Easy to lower from the waist, easy to roll all the way to the top of my thigh and all black. 💕 LOVE my tat pants lol

I used a zip up hoodie and wore it sideways. The zipper opening where the tattoo was going. Zipper only has to be open so there’s enough room for the tattoo artist to work and the sweater doesn’t make contact. If you need to take breaks you just have to put it on normally and you’re good to go. I sat 5 hours and it work wonderfully.

I’d wear some loose shorts if you’re getting your thigh. Something easy to pull up and move around when working on different areas of the thigh and if you have no car then just have loose sweats for when you’re heading back home after

Saniderm is a medical grade second skin. Which means that It allows for air to still get through while keeping moisture/liquid in. The skin is breathing just fine still with it on

If you have it on for the full week and then take it off then use a moisturizer. If you take it off after the first day and don’t reapply a new sheet use healing ointment or aquaphor then switch to moisturizer when you see the tattoo starting to flake or feel dry

I'd rather just be prepared and change in the comfort of my own home right before I go to my appointment. Unless your going to want to change mid tattoo (which probably isn't a good idea) it just doesn't make any sense.

I feel like the artist should discuss this with client. I assumed my artist had covers for nipples or could take my bra off. Then when I went the lady said that shirt all you have and I said yeah I can take it off but she wasn't comfortable with it so I had to hold it and my bra down and didn't get my tattoo exactly where I wanted because she made it difficult

This one is hard, maybe Saniderm for the worry free aftercare of the tattoo or if you’re flexible enough then you can wash it yourself or get someone else to help
