It's likely! I would highly recommend doing this on a separate drive, you can even get an external m.2 drive to remove any risk, if you already have a second drive installed you can do that as well

@@kyledupont7711 I've already done it...I made a new partition on my existing hard drive, and followed the procedure in the vid. It all went very smoothly, and the dual boot works perfectly.

Sir, when i selected try and install Ubuntu "gspca_gl860: ctrl transfer failed -110" this message showed up... Then Ubuntu 24.04 lts installation window opened , at the final stage a message popped up saying system program problem detected..what should I do now???

The partition 30 gb you created is not selected here , 17.7 gb new allocation , so now the Primary OS is ubuntu instead of Windows?

Its better to upgradr RAM. If not possible then try to use vertual RAM using internal ssd storage.

Install Linux. Windows is not secure with your data, it is essentially spyware, when you hear your fans ramping up when you are looking at the desktop, its because they are uploading all your data, everything you are doing, all keypresses all searches. You may think Linux is hard to figure out but it will be second nature in no time. Linux uses much less ram than Windows as well

Great and helpful video......but I found one thing confusing in one way or another ...after creating a bootable usb and performing all the neccessary requirements for dual booting is it neccessary to remove the bootable usb or not??????

You have to boot from that Bootable usb, then you will be running a live boot Linux version, from there you can install Linux on to one of your drives. The live boot is pretty useless, you can test some things out but you can't make any changes system. Be careful to install Linux to the correct drive don't do it on your C: or whatever you have windows on. After the install process, they system will tell you to remove the USB stick, which would be before or during the restart

Same problem faced by me... After converting the ssd type to gpt and partition type ntfs im able to install windows after ubuntu. Warning- all data will be erased from ssd while converting partition type.
