This is to show that you don’t have to be a big time trapper to dye and wax your traps. This will help catch rates and keeps your traps working properly. Running traps is a great way to spend time in the outdoors helping keep nest predators at bay.
If you have any questions I’ll do my best to answer them fully to the best of my knowledge.

I usually put a nail between jaws to allow for wax to get in this area. Also adding wax to the dye pot and drawing traps up through as wax remains on top of dye water is effective too. Good tutorial though!

How much wax do you add to your dye?

@WetandDirtyOutdoors a 10 lb block...I use a 1/3 of a 55 gallon steel drum for dyeing and waxing. I can usually do a dozen or two at a time. Depending on trap size
