I remember the 1st time I noticed that and went to comment on it, I seen I wasnt the only one that had noticed... lol. Now i already know so I just smile and keep watching 🤣
Hey DeJesus, I was wondering whenever you pour your Dye and Sole Bright into a Mini Glass Jar, is it Possible to save it for the next use? Or do you have to dispose of it?
Great vid I have 4 pairs of 11's I'm planning on dying the bottoms...I tried to brighten the soles but that was a fail...so this is my next move a lot less time consumine😂
@@DeJesusCustomFootwear Haha yes but I am also selling their products because I have a retail shop. It's all good! I need more supplies later anyways =) But I really like your tutorials so far, very informative! I didn't know how the dyes work until now. It gives me confidence later if someone wants me to have a different colored icy sole.
Now I'm going to turn my 72-10's into Bred 11's! Quick question....could the puke yellow icy soles be dyed with a teal/violet color to make them sort of look icy from a distance?
Not sure if you still respond here but I'd figure I'd ask. Do you think it's alright to use angelus suede dye over leather dye? The place where I get my supplies doesn't have the colour I want
Good question I can’t say forsure, I actually think the learher dye might be a bit more concentrated so it’s likely even stronger which is pretty ideal for something like this.. I’m not sure how well the suede dye would hold or if you wouldn’t be able to fully tint the soles potentially
@@LightningAries15 hmmm deifnitly hard to say without doing it.. I wouldn’t want to give you the wrong info here. But I will say you can always make it darker, once you’ve made it dark you can’t go lighter exactly
Great video! Question, I have a pair of J11, and the soles aren't clear blue any more. I've used Salon Care 40, also tried a 50 volume, and the sun. They aren't getting more ice blue, and still have a small yellow tint, but at least they aren't brown any more. Will this make them look orange, or will the red color be dominant?
hello mr. de jesus! i have the white and violet colorway of the new air zoom max bb nxt basketball shoes and they happen to have a violet color translucent outsole. this pair is actually marketed to have extremely great traction. reason as to why i am saying this is because i have some concerns before i have the pair dyed: 1. will dyeing affect the traction? 2. what colors would be feasible for the violet outsole? i was thinking maybe pink or red thank you very much for this informative video. it is very helpful.
@DeJesusCustomFootwear I want to repaint the patent leather of my concords but in my town Its crossing a tropical storm so my question is if is recommended paint it in this moment for the humidity or I have to wait till sunny days? Thanks
Can I use any type of leather dye? I cant find angelus leather dye here and also sole bright. Will it still work if I use other brand that has the same use as an alternative for angelus leather dye and sole bright?
You said angelus neutral can lighten the color. Could I still lighten the color after I finished dying my soles? The blue I used is too dark I want a lighter shade.
hi, so I have a question regarding soles dyeing, would it be possible to dye a darker color to a lgihter color instead? My soles are sort of dark pink/orangey red and I would like to dye them to a light pink instead
I've watched your vid plenty of times but i can't get the dye to stay on the soles, the soles have already yellowed bad and the dye used is kelly green by angelus. I wonder if any of those have variables have anything to do with it. Please HELP!!!!
DeJesus Custom Footwear ok thanks for the response! I’m gonna follow your tutorial to customize some white huaraches... but I’ll leave the midsoles alone lol Thanks again
@@DeJesusCustomFootwear Hey Dillon.. I am also going to try a custom look on a pair of Huarache’s.. But my question is could these products and same process possibly work on the air bubbles on a pair of 97’s ? Is there a way to mix different colours of the dye to create say a turquoise colour ? Appreciate you 🙏🏻
@@robmills2155 yeah you can mix the dyes, it’s just a tad harder to get every shade imaginable like you can with paint.. you’re just a little more limited
Thanks for the video man! Realistically how long does dying soles last? I've got yellowed foams and foams that aren't yellow yet (but not clear) does the dye start looking choppy after a while? Also does it matter how severe the yellowing is before I dye them? Thanks again ✌️🤙
Dye doesn’t crack at all so it holds damn near permanelty. Also don’t think the amount of yellowing will have much effect.. other than maybe needing an extra coat of dye
I used the red dye and sole bright for my low Jordan 11s IE, and I got some dye on the mid soles (never trust masking tape again). How can I get that off to look as close to white again?
Unfortuantely dye is pretty permanent it’s super hard to get out and you can’t paint white over it... may be worth considering a speckle print on the midsole to try and blend it in
Hey there! I loved the video and have a question . I have a couple of pairs I wanted to get customized and sense an recent injury to my wrist I pretty much don’t trust my accuracy and don’t want to chance a major Eff Up on my kicks, lol. I have two pairs of low 11’s I wanted to get done, soles and uppers. Do you provide customizing services and if you don’t can you recommend someone who does?
It’s really easy my guy I customized a few , save your money and try it out if your wrist is good now … just make sure to tape it up well and you should be fine ! Hope your injury’s doing alright bro .
I’m mixing dye/sole bright 50/50 but finding the mixture too watery and my first layer isn’t laying down anywhere near as thick as in the video and way to much gets removed when wiping down with acetone. I’m using angelus jet black leather dye and sole bright. And I am heat sealing until everything looks dry. Any ideas?
That’s because angelus dye is paint regardless, its not real dye. Dye should never fade, not even with acetone since dye penetrates into the material rather than just the surface like paint. If you go to walmart you can finde true dye’s you can water it down with alcohol, do a fee coats and thats all you need to get a permanent and beautiful result
Hey bud unfortunately it’s not possible to my knowledge, anytime we do it, it’s with the understanding to us and the client that it’s not going to last more than a very short period

@@DeJesusCustomFootwear I KNOW I watch dang near everyday Today I just couldn’t take it anymore lol valuable info keep pushing very inspiring so I started my journey thank you .
I just found this channel this weekend and your content is awesome. I do customizing work in the Bahamas and I will definitely be watching all your videos. Keep up the good work 👍
I am doing a Jordan 1 Laser to Chicago custom… they have translucent soles that are yellowing… do I need to put them in my icebox to unyellow them first before dying or not?
