Do you have a any tips on how to die an already constructed dress ? My bday dress came and the mesh color is all wrong but I came deconstruct the dress ?
is this supposed to be a tutorial? It would've been great if you indicated how long you kept each piece in as they are different depths of color. that information would be helpful
can you dye something that has already been made? I want to dye a bodysuit but it has diamonds on it will the diamonds fall off??? & can I dye the entire bodysuit?
@@ceceliak7188 I know this is old but in case you still need the information ☺️ it may weaken the adhesive the rhinestones are glued on with, but the bigger issue is the rhinestone itself. If they’re glass rhinestones it should be ok, but that’s not particularly common. Usually they’re plastic. Since the dye is for synthetic materials, it’ll dye EVERYTHING that’s synthetic, including the plastic rhinestone. It’ll basically just make it dull and the colour of your dye. It’ll ruin the sparkle. It’s not ideal but the only work around I can think of is to remove the rhinestones from the garment first. You can use pure acetone on a cotton bud (I think Americans call them qtips) and you can dab the back of each rhinestone to loosen and remove it. Test the fabric first in a hidden place to make sure it doesn’t damage it! Once they’re all off, dye the garment. Then, you can use E6000 glue to stick the rhinestones back on (or use fresh rhinestones). Hope that helps! ☺️
