Love how the different shades of toner blended for an all-over unified color! Also, the cut and dark blonde are both very complimentary to your face shape and skin tone. Thank you for the step by step!!
This was SO helpful. I am trying to go back to my natural color (darker ash blonde) with shades eq and there are so few videos of people using it at home! Even though I will use a different formula this was really helpful for me. Thank you for this!!!
I adore this - there's a lot of videos about going lighter, bleaching or going to the dark side, but not a lot about this mid blonde. I've toned my bleach blonde at home many times, but I've been trying to figure out what colours to use to get to some kind of neutral slightly golden natural blonde that is similar to my roots - similar to yours. I am now obsessed with this idea of mushroom blonde. It looks fabulous on you and I 'm off to amazon to get some shades eq. lol
A super flattering color for you! The benefit of have a crap-ton of white hair coming through all up in my hairline at the ripe old age of 34 is that it blends my bleach with my roots for me. 🤪
@@ImMalloryBrooke I love Redken and trust it so I would definitely go in that direction. I just don't know what to choose? Do they do an online consultation or do you just pick the colors and hope for the best?
Mallory you are one brave girl! Your hair looks absolutely Beautiful! I love love that color on you! I just went last week for highlights and spent $300 (plus they always get me with buying products) , when you told us the cost I nearly fell off my chair….it turned way better than mine and I went to a salon!!!! I swear they never get my color right….I’m a mousy brown w red naturally in my hair and I ask for ash blond and it always goes golden😩. Love your hair ….GREAT JOB! Hugs Mary 😊
It looks so good on you! I love your hair videos; I also have fine, thin hair and your videos have helped me to appreciate my hair more and style it better (thank you!).
Oh Mal you had a science project going on with all the color mixing. You did a great job. I absolutely love you new look. I bet this new hair color you will be playing with new makeup shades and new eye looks. So fun. 💖💄👄
It turned out so good! I did mine, too. lol I was blonde for 20 years (natural medium brown) and went to dark brown for a good while, then toned it down last year then the roots were getting scary. I like a dirty blonde tone. Finding the right tone is key, I think. I like the color you came up with, very cute! It's fun to play. I was curious how the color would do over your brighter blonde bits. I like the ivy color. Good job!
I love it Mallory it's absolutely gorgeous. We each have pet peeves that make zero sense often to other people, but for me, I love getting a fresh head of highlights, or a color, but I don't like having roots. When I was letting a color grow out I didn't want a line of dark versus light, so I sort of did what you did to make the transition of letting an old color grow out to be less striking/contrast. It's a stunning hair color for you. Well done.
@@ImMalloryBrooke Demi can do that but I’m sure you’ll be able to replicate something similar. I have my moments where I like to go blonder with highlights but I’ve came to the conclusion that darker blondes (which I naturally am) look better on me now. It’s all about the undertones. You nailed it here! It looks amazing with your skin tone.
You did good! When it lightens up back to blonder, you should try an ash gold gloss using Redken Shades EQ ash gold bonder inside series. Really pretty in 7AG (up higher) and 9AG and 10AG Mids to ends? Feels like that might give you the combination of warmth and and coolness you were going for with the 8GN mixed with 6 and 7N. Also, have you reviewed Ilia foundations and mascaras? Please do, as one fair skinned Dior devotee to another…finding all my foundations look like crap lately and looking for something new to replace my Dior Forever. Esp for summer, when I’m looking for something lighter and more radiant. Thanks!
@@ImMalloryBrooke I will I just gotta work up the courage to do it lol I've missed your videos!!! You and Taylor's videos are the only makeup channels I watch ❤️ you ladies are so REAL and funny!! And seem so kind
Also when is your next giveaway or do you have a discount code for the cream bronzer in the pot you use I can't think of the name but it's like 40$ lol and struggle is real but m obsessed
You did good it looks good not everyone can afford the salon to color are hair. I am not brave. I mean I do color my hair sometimes but not like how you did it .
Dear Mallory, the colour is wonderful. You did very well. Another question.. is your hair the same lenght or is it layered. I guess I do have the same lenght as you, maybe two cm longer.. but I never get this kind of awesome bump/ fullness on the sides as you have in this video. The kind of wider wave above the ear on the sides. Do you have a turorial for your hair just looking like in the video when it is done finally , please?
I want to do something like this for a long time and I liked it how you did it a lot!!! ❤❤❤.. the only thing is I am not sure where to get those redken colors here in Canada
How long did you wait to wash your hair after the day you colored it. I always wait 72hrs before washing after color. My hairdresser always tells me that as you have to wait till the hair follicles are closed all the way. If you wash. Before that color comes out? And I'm covering grey so I don't want my color coming out if I can help it. Just saying. Your color looks good? But I'd never have the nerve to do it. And my hairdresser is my daughter shed wouldn't be happy with me. Besides I'm allergic to something in regular hair dye, so I only trust her to get me the color I want without a reaction. But you did good.
