*HOW TO* Dyna Chain Conversion Install 

If you don't have an impact gun and can't get the sprocket nut off, get a center punch and make a spot near where two flats of the nut meet. Do that spot a little nearer the edge of the nut than the threads.... then carefully drill the spot - with a small bit - until the nut is almost drilled through into the pulley. Then drill it with bigger bits until the hole is enlarged enough to be just breaking out the side of the flats. Then use a cold chisel in that hole and hit it sharply as if to loosen the nut - the nut will fracture down by the threads and you can get it off. You will need a new nut, but it is always a good idea to use new nuts anyway !

To clean the chain on a converted Harley, can you get around the primary cover to clean the front sprocket or would you have to go through that ball ache with the clutch every time?

How many miles do you get on the chain ? I am still belt driven now. My vtwin sport bikes the chain would only last 8-10k miles, just a little longer than the rear tire

when installing the chain drive do you need to have someone press the rear break down while you tighten the rear tire / axle to be sure the brake caliper is aligned properly with the rotor?

which loctite did you use on the adjusters? when I torque mine to the spec in the manual it tightens my chain too much.

That seems like a lot of work and expense for no real advantage. I like that Harley went to belt drives over chain, so I don't hear the chain. I broke chains when I had chain drives. I've never broken a belt.

knew a guy who did this and his chain eventually broke on a ride and it exploded his covers and front sproket......no thanks im keeping my belt drive
