Average cannot , but anyone who can develop a top tier playing can earn a loot , especially today with internet and social media . But even without that classical musicians are like luxury sector of music and they are respected and payed well for their art .
@@pjbpiano Yes , exactly . Being a successful artist is like building a business , we can’t just expect to get paid salaries like employees, we have to work hard, build our way up and create demand for what we do in order for people to exchange money for consuming our art .

There is already a demand for classical music and that demand is already being met by the lucky few musicians that get selected by what ever. This niche music is not like other forms of music which is open to creating a new form of market.

You make sure to be the top tier of the top tier, and you'll have profitable concerts and recordings. If you "only" become very, very good, you can get some not very impressive money from concerts, then you will have to become a teacher...
I actually started piano when I was 4. My parents were very musically minded and were sure to instill that in my life. I am thankful that they have done that for me. My mom was actually my teacher, and it has become such a big part of my life.

Me who's just starting learning, at my 30s lauging at thi.. myself 😂. Hopefully it's just like learning to drive a car, to be casual driver is totally manageable but to be a pro racer like her is a whole different story
