Unfortunately, the majority of bosses boil down to dodging at the right time rather than intricate mechanics (the ones with gimmicks are kinda frustrating either way)
Even if I don't need to learn how to defeat the bosses, I always like to watch your videos to watch the proper fights. Other channels just go unga bunga on the bosses and you can't see anything because of the bursts

Unfortunately, Spiral Abyss is more of a unit and gear check than anything else. If you've got the right combination of units and good gear, you'll clear it.

@@GenshinConcert It's a weekly boss, so you can choose what level to fight it at. The initial story fight is based on your world level (which I completed with my own team, not F2P team I use in the guide). For the gear level that the units I'm using in the video are at, level 70 is appropriate for the length of time the fight needs to last for me to make a proper concise guide. Any longer and it will double or triple the video length with no additional information, as you'd be watching me fight and dodge the same 7 moves for 10-15 minutes.
In all honesty, I don't recommend fully building Geo Traveler in any capacity if you plan on looking for a new main DPS. Geo Traveler is, however, currently as of Fontaine the best and least unit/ally reliant F2P+Guaranteed/non-event unit in the game right now. So, unless you seriously have NOBODY else to do damage, do not build Geo Traveler with the intent of clearing harder content. Dendro Traveler is much better, but is a support. You can run a very reliable hyperbloom setup with them and any real Electro unit you have (Lisa works great for this) by just slamming 600+ Elemental Mastery on the Electro unit and bringing along a Hydro unit with Dendro Traveler and completely out-do all of the damage you see here. The only reason why I don't run this setup in my videos is because Geo Traveler allows me to showcase the fight in a better capacity. tl;dr yeah they do damage but I wouldn't recommend building Geo Trav if you're desperate for a DPS

Man, you're always so quick! She just released a few days ago. Thank you as always! Your videos have helped me out a lot when I was new and it helped me build courage to challenge the bosses, so now, I'm not really as scared as before to face new bosses head-on. But I still watch your tutorials just to see if there's some cool things I missed, so I really appreciate it! Besides, you always make these bosses look so easy. That just goes to show that there's definitely some skill that needs to be witnessed here and that alone makes for a very informative and very rewarding watch.
I used bennett as a healer/buffer to clear the bond of life but for some reason he doesn't clear the bond of life even while inside his burst. However when I ate a food it instantly cleared the bond of life, which is weird.
If you don't have him at Constellation 1, he will only heal up to 70% of the current on-field unit's health. It's possible that you were at or above 70% health and thus were not eligible to receive any healing which prevented you from being able to clear the bond of life.
Did anyone notice if you try to go to the paimon menu during this fight, instead of just giving you the exit option instead of full paimon menu, it gives you a new option?! Instead of just Continue Challenge and Leave Domain, they added Lower Difficulty!!! This is a big tip that I think more ppl should know about, especially since its new and afaik has never been an option before. It's interesting tho, because when you go to select it, it says theres no reversing back to the inital difficulty. So I'm not sure if it changes World Level or not. I did a bunch of googling and can't find anyone pointing out this new option! Worth a shot for newer players.
This is very hard for me😭😭😭 I do good in phase one but even one hit in faze 2 one shots me. And I’m doing the best dodging I can😔 I’m using not the best dps but the damage isn’t the problem
The best tips that I can give after watching this video is you need to have a healer with healing E like Barbara or Kuki Shinobu to neutralize the Bond of life.. good video btw
Raiden and Warden I just didn't play the game and had to play catch-up on hours and hours of prerequisite quests and had poor timing (university exams and poor Internet) so they had a very hefty delay
All WW bosses boil down to perfect dodging attacks that you can't parry, and parrying the ones that you can. There is no guide I can make to help people get good at those basic mechanics
My current team is nahida, xingqiu, bennett, kazuha: do you have an idea of how a rotation would work? Like, in what order should I do skills or bursts Trying to farm drops for arlecchino who I’m building
I don't really recommend that team because you're lacking single target DPS. Xingqiu would be your only real source of single target damage, since everyone else is a buff support or a Driver. Kazuha's Driver ability is mostly for trash mob clearing like in Abyss, and less for single target. He does provide damage buffs but this isn't single target DPS. Bennett is in the same boat with buffs, and Nahida is mostly for her Driver abilities and Dendro application plus her buffs. Basically, you don't have a strong on-field DPS to really power through Arlecchino's massive HP pool. Burgeon wouldn't do much here since she's 70% resistant to Pyro, though Kazuha's RES Shread if he has Viridescent Venerer will slightly help with that if he swirls Pyro. If you really want to use that team, Bennett needs to have 900+ Elemental Mastery to deal any real damage with Burgeon after Kazuha's Ulti stops detonating them (which uses Kazuha's EM stat). Nahida E Xingqiu E Kazuha Hold E Bennett E Nahida E Nahida Ulti Bennett E Bennett Ulti Kazuha Hold E Kazuha Ulti (Infuses Pyro) Xingqiu E Xingqiu Ulti Nahida E Nahida Spams normals to proc Xingqiu blades and Vaporize off of Pyro affected enemy. Kazuha's Ulti will be detonating all Cores produced causing Burgeon. Kazuha's Ulti runs out Nahida continues to spam Normal Attack until there's 4+ Dendro Cores Kazuha Hold E to gather Dendro Cores near boss Bennett E to detonate Burgeon Repeat I tested this rotation just now on a neutral target (Field Generator) and it did okay enough damage with a bad setup (Nahida wasn't leveled or geared well, Xingqiu didn't have full set and bad gear, Kazuha was VERY well geared, and Bennett wasn't wearing any gear aside from Skyward Blade) Depending on your gear, you can do around half of Arlechinno's HP (Highest level) in one rotation but you will need to be on top of your positioning since she will move around a lot. This rotation takes a very long time, so the DPS is actually rather low.

The first time I fought her was a team with Layla, Ei, Yelan, and Arlecchino... I didnt know she had pyro res and I had 0 healers xD I defeated her tho. At the cost of Ei, Father's, and Layla's life
Arlecchino has some kind of counter move with her wings, I'm not sure how it works and you didnt cover it. I tried using a bad team on my first try and i think my Yelan got smoked and I got an achievement "The Same Mistakes" for having my ranged attacks countered 3 times in a row by her wings.
I didn't cover it because that wasn't the strategy. She counters and is immune to attacks further than a certain range in phase 2. My recommendation was to move into close range to juke her moves, hence why you never saw this in the video, and also why I recommended to fight her up close in phases 1 and 2. In phase 3 she is far too deadly to fight up close, and she loses her long-range immunity hence why I recommend staying further away in that phase.
Yes but I don't believe it's worthwhile to make guides about it given the way the game is played (all fights boil down to perfect dodging moves you can't parry, and parrying all moves you can)
@@SunWeiC Oh I thought you can make videos about the attack patterns, especially the bosses. The herons one, specifically, are kicking my butt off. 😂 I get better with the Rider from Hell Inferno Rider guy's pattern (I have S2 Mortefi), but the rest, I still struggle.
@@MagisterialVoyager there are basically no patterns, though. The game chooses randomly which move or move strings that boss executes. For example, Scar Phase 1 can choose to do doubleswipe 3 times in a row, or never do it at all in melee range. Same thing with feint-swipe-dash etc. WW bosses are all about just being able to recognize a move in the first several frames of its telegraph and reacting accordingly
@@SunWeiC Really? I suppose I was mistaken, then, thinking that at least we can learn about enemies’ set of attack patterns, since that’s basically my understanding of what others have said and also my experience of “getting better” at fighting certain enemies.
@@MagisterialVoyager So the idea of "attack patterns" is a misguided truth in reality. There is no actual "pattern" to boss attacks in any game since you have to look at how bosses are actually designed. Basically, bosses have "moves" they don't have "patterns". When people say "get good" they mean you need to learn how to recognize and deal with moves as they come out. This is overwhelmingly the way to beat any boss with practice. What people mistakenly believe to be "patterns" are actually move strings, where a boss will do a predetermined string of attacks that you can actually categorize as "one move", such as Scar Phase 1's DoubleSwipe or Feint-Swipe-Dash. Essentially, there's nothing I or anyone else can really do that would be truly helpful to people that struggle with these bosses since I can't help them recognize the beginning of moves myself-- they have to be the ones to do it themselves through experience and practice and quite honestly I believe that's half of the fun in learning a boss. This is also different than having tips for certain moves as well, like in Elden Ring for example where Godfrey's ground stomp can be reliably jumped rather than rolled, or hiding near Morgot/Margitt's body on certain wide hammer swings. Bosses in WW don't have this level of hitbox intricacy, and if they do/did, it's trivialized by how powerful your perfect dodge and parry is. I have not yet encountered a move that couldn't be avoided by either of these two mechanics, hence why I think making guides for bosses is rather unhelpful. This is different than Genshin, where there are certain boss gimmicks and AI manipulations that you can easily perform to limit the risk you expose yourself to when fighting a boss. Additionally, because bosses in Genshin have a rather slow boss attack rate, the guides are more digestible and allow for less risky and less skill-intensive strategies than needing to i-frame through everything just for a bit of DPS.
She gave me trouble because new mechanics were introduced into the game. I didn't bother learning about the bond of life mechanic and I don't think I will. She was hard but not as hard as Raiden. My one gripe is that she has 2 one shots and the only way to escape those is a perfect i-frame dodge. Now obviously casuals will find it annoying and hard. I do, because when u are farming , u don't want to think or stress over it because of the tediousness of farming. But I can beat her because I played so much I have decent i-frame dodges on PC, not on mobile. Mobile, I'm terrible. I only versed her on mobile and also I didn't even bother doing her story quest. Also why do the harbingers and apep have 2 phases while the other weekly bosses only have 1. I feel like Raiden should have had 2 phases because, strongest archon and all right now. I also wish the character's gameplay was more lore accurate, also the MC needs to actually win a fight on their own. Like come on dude, when was the last time we beat someone without anyone butting in. At first we believed MC was strong but no, ain't strong. Also how the hell do u best Raiden shogun and not beat arlecchino. Raiden can wipe out so much shit. The story is not being consistent now. Also how many times are we gonna be so lucky from not dying. We now know MC is not strong at all. If he/she does not get a power up and they win all theirs fights by enemies not finishing them off and or someone helping them. I'm done with the story of this game. We went through 5 regions but we barely got any stronger, also why doesn't MC use all their elements in their cut scenes.
You have 3 whole seconds to recognize you're still playing the video game and to press the dodge button. She ALWAYS opens up phase 3 with this move, so it should never be a surprise
@@SunWeiC but she always falls in the center of the character, that is, she follows you wherever you go and always falls before you dodge because the range of the blow is very high and does not give you time to dodge if she appears in the MIDDLE
@@Tropicah1. It is the exact same timing every single time, and I show in the video that you can use the invincibility frames provided to you during your dodge to avoid this attack's damage
@@Tropicah1. you use "follows you wherever you go" to your advantage, she waits for you to move, so you can practice the timings over and over, it's the same every time unless you wait 10+ seconds, she won't do her plunging attack, you have to walk a certain distance to trigger her attack you HAVE to dodge the second she hits the floor, as SunWei demonstrates, it's the literal only way to not take any damage if you're just sprinting in one direction and expecting to get out of it you're gonna get KO'd/Low-HP'd every single time
That's correct. You gotta heal it off, but if you never get hit, it honestly doesn't really matter since all of her moves are perfectly possible to dodge and all the bond of life does is make you take more damage from her
Well, not nothing but definitely not optimal. I only have it equipped because it's guaranteed for f2p players (as billets aren't guaranteed to be the type you want) and it's not tied to an event.
She doesn't. There is always a pause. You may just be getting caught by one of her crazy combo strings, which is why I recommend you stay away from her in phase 3
The boss does not change tactics dependent on level. The only reason why I fight it at a lower level is because the video would be 10+ minutes long if fought at level 90 with the gear I have right now. It doesn't do anything but waste time and kill retention rates at that point
