How to EASILY Beat Millennial Pearl Seahorse in Genshin Impact - Free to Play Friendly!
The Millennial Pearl Seahorse is a new boss that was introduced as part of Genshin Impact's 4.1 update. It can be located in the Liffey Region of Fontaine, with the entrance to its lair requiring some minor cave spelunking in the water.
As a whole, this boss is rather easy if you don't care to take damage. It can easily be run over with a powerful team, but takes a bit more care if you actually mind being hit. The Millennial Pearl Seahorse creates massive Electro fields on the ground that deal damage over time, making this boss rather annoying to fight melee, which is why we elect to use Amber to break the electro crystal on its chest. Once the electro crystal is below a certain amount of HP, it will go into the center and begin causing massive electro attacks. Breaking all 3 pylons during this time will stun and weaken the boss. The same stun and weaken will happen if you break the crystal on its chest before this as well.

MANDATORY UNITS:
Any Pyro unit, really. I recommend Amber if you're not in Abyss.
RECOMMENDED UNITS:
Amber (Ranged + Pyro)
Noelle (Shield)
Zhongli (Shield)
Lyney (Ranged + Pyro)
MAYBE DON'T BRING THESE UNITS:
None, really. Though Hydro and Electro are rather weak against it.

Since I'm a Nahida main, I figured out that we can apparently burn the seahorse's chest crystal thingy! So I set Nahida up with Zhongli, Tighnari, and Diluc for Pyro, and I just burn it from the distance constantly using Tighnari + Nahida and only set it ablaze with Diluc when it's near, haha. I'm thinking of trying other Pyro such as Thoma (I can play him as 100% up time shield) and Xiangling, though both are less built than Diluc and Tighnari.

I just watched another one of someone using bennett and apparently there's a small patch of grass around the area during this fight and if you can lure this guy back there you can just set the grass on fire and roast him lol. Unfortunately I'm struggling with this one so it didn't help me much lol. But it's supposed to make it easy if you actually know what you're doing, unlike me 😂

i have good characters now but when i didnt, this guy saved my time, nowadays i just unga bunga with zhongli, but i remember when i couldnt defeat that electro oceanid and watche dhis video and defeated it for the first time with almost no characters, so i still visit his channel anytime a new boss is released

personally i find that if you’re running a shield character, you can use a pyro catalyst as well tbh. just stay close to it, i can break the thing on it’s chest with klee pretty quickly !! :) (so i’d assume yanfei would also work well)

Can the core (?) be easily melt by Ayaka? I still can't master to use any bow characters and my current team are all close ranged characters.

If you don't mind taking tick damage from the Electro floor, sure. Cryo would do decently here. In a previous comment you mentioned you have Zhongli; he is rather good for floor effects.

This boss is hard for me. I know I can destroy the electro crystalesque thing on its chest by shooting it with pyro attacks but as a Kokomi main, it's harder than it looks. I rely too much on Kokomi's heals, so it's not very easy to fight it.

It technically speaking *could* be possible, and honestly it would depend on the unit. Units like Barbara and Mona have "localized targeting" as in their actual attack hurtbox is spawned on the enemy, which means technically it could hit the core. Units like Yanfei and Klee have real projectiles, meaning it would depend on how big the hurtbox the projectile explosion produces to determine whether or not the attack actually hits the core. So I'm gonna say that theoretically it is possible, but very much unit dependent

Wow, I'm impressed I thought you were a bit of a noob when I saw that Hydro% on geo traveler and level 50 Noelle but using the only archer with 2GU on their CA that's something I doubt even the big meta players know.

I purposely nerf my own damage and gear in my videos to show you don't need amazing gear to be able to beat a boss. Many people complain about that kind of stuff

Indeed, it is required for Neuvillette. There is an underwater cavern located west of its icon on the map that will bring you to it

Would a dendro or cryo archer be better for shooting the part of the boss' chest? If we're talking F2P I was thinking of Collei.

So, I think in general a Cryo archer would be best, as it's the most effective element vs Electro, but Amber is a special case as far as Pyro goes given that she has a naturally higher elemental value on her charge shots compared to other units. This means she deals more damage per hit to elemental shields she's effective against compared to other comparable units. Collei I believe has a rather low elemental value on her charged shots, which is why I didn't recommend using her alongside the fact that Dendro and Pyro seem to be about on-par with each other for removing Electro shields barring elemental reactions. After some testing, Collei removes about 60% as much shield as Amber does, given that Amber has a high value and Overload removes a decent chunk of shield as well. I've read a comment on here that said that Burning does a decent amount of shield removal as well, though to be honest that strategy seems viable only with Nahida given the nature of her Skill (though still very effective).
