Pro tips: shot at the Icon of Sin until it dies.

It really helps when you do it fast because the longer the Icon of Sin is on Earth the stronger it becomes

"NOOOO YOU CAN'T JUST SPAM THE MINIGUN THE ENTIRE FIGHT!" *"Hahaha gun go BRRRRRRRR"*

The icon of sin took me about 40 mins without even failing at all. The crucible spawns definitely saved me.

This is how long it took to the Doom Slayer to kill him in canon. What we call "ultra nightmare" he calls "waking up a 12 am at Sunday.

So this is the strategy he used to survive for years in Hell.

I nearly burned out on this fight. I was just glad it was over. Less than glad even, I was just tiredly staring at the credits roll by.

i dont know why but when i did this, there were wayyy too many mobs, i coudlnt even focus the boss

A lot of my deaths were from the Icon punching straight into the upper floors randomly. It was so hard to predict and pretty much one shots you. I think the problem was I was not breaking armor pieces fast enough. If he gets bored he does that "punch straight" move.

We need final sin master level where all enemies are replaced by marauders

Just beat this in nightmare on ps4. This part was something else. Mastering arenas and mastering this felt different lol

Kinda weird that I sort of expected the Icon of Sin to be even bigger than this design but... Not gonna complain.

The first time I fought the Icon of Sin, my game crashed in the second phase, second time I glitched on the floor, then I beat him the third time.

How do you prevent hundreds of mancubi spawning? Every time i play there's five to ten mancubi spawned before i even get a shot in on the dude

Dude. Thanks so much for this video. On UV, this game is very challenging. But the boss was literally making me tempted to wimp out and use the sentinel armour. But I watched this whole video and started a practice turn just to run around and do the ice burn combo, which then turned into a completed run. I'm glad they let you die after you get past stage 1, because I died the first time on the 2nd part. Thanks man! Now I can do the master levels. Subbed.

Having just went through my 2nd playthrough under the “Can’t Perfect Perfection” milestone it feels good to see a strategy to keep in mind when I’m more properly built for it. Especially when I later do the Ultra Nightmare run.

I love the way you can constantly use the crucible, you feel like the true slayer in the end

This video has the most important piece of knowledge that I haven't seen any written guide have. I haven't tried this fight again after losing a million times to it but this one bit of knowledge I think will help a ton. And that is - the battle becomes more impossible the more time passes. I was watching your video and surprised you only had to fight one heavy demon (or maybe two) at a time when I was getting crushed fighting constant waves of 5. I was like "this boss is impossible!" But seeing how much difference it made to aggressively go after the IoS it suddenly looked very doable. Looks like it's basically, launch all weapons against IoS, find fodder to chainsaw, Crucible kill any heavy demons, launch all weapons against IoS. Repeat.

Awesome tips and definitely worked for me on my first playthrough having no extra lives th rg ough the whole level. The last 2 levels has a massive difficulty spike that still destroys me till this day on hurt me plenty while I can make it through other levels without a death.

Nice video, I wish I saw this before I beat the icon of sin. I kept going low on ammo and health and a bunch of demons spawned

Or just go to mission select, select second from list, (cant remember that mission name) but just choose it, from level start just right under first ledge is extra life, take it, quit game and do it again and again, and you get so much extra life as you want

I completed the game today on ultraviolence. Took me about 17 hours to complete. Got all the secrets collectibles and everything. Except the cheat codes in fortress of doom cuz i dont care for them. Final sin i complete in 45 minutes. That involved incessant and tireless dying and reloading of checkpoints. Finally i made it. Felt good.

THANK YOU MAN now I completed 2 challenges the +10 lives in extra live mode I completed with 30 lives and the "complete the campain with less than one praetor suit token and one sentinel cristal

Cool vid im currently only on mission two on my un playthrough but i will persevere

On the BFG, I haven't tried this yet but... would the Unmaykr actually be useful here? The spread-shot could hit multiple body parts for big damage at once and that might be handy. I know the BFG basically deletes 1 body part but I wonder if Unmaykr is technically more efficient.

i discover something. You can crash 2 parts of the icon with the bfg, in the bennining of the fight, you must start with the bfg, the icon will punch you, in the moment when he launch the punch, instantly shot the bfg, and there you go 2x1.

Okay, first and foremost I would like too thank you for making this video. After seeing you fight him (I'm about to fight him) I'm pretty comfortable with what needs to be done. I have not struggled at all with this game, not even the Marauders give me a challenge; However, the boss before him... That was the most irritating thing I've had to do in this game bar none. I would rather fight 10 Marauders at once than that stupid fight again. For some damn reason I couldn't get my shotgun chain to latch onto her after the first time I hit her. It was absolutely infuriating! I lost, I want too say 5 lives on her. Thankfully, this bosses life isn't regenerating and it's pretty straightforward. I'm on normal with 100% complete so far. I have to grab the last page and I'm done. I have 17 lives not including the three scattered across this level (just started). At any rate, thank you once again and wish me luck!

Man every time I watch these types of videos they never seem to approximate my experience. There are lots of times in this video where he is in one general area firing away. I never can do that for for that 2 seconds before I’m getting hit from the side or the back.

Hardest part of the fight has to be figuring out which parts in p2 are destroyed and which are just damaged. Real question, is it the bone showing?

i think when you are further away comboing the ballista with sniper shots from the heavy cannon could up the damage to the arms pretty drastically.

Watching this makes me wonder we're are all the enemy spawns you have like 2-3 big demons and then it stops i never had this kind of time to focus the boss and i didn't play it on nightmare so tell me wat mode did you youse because this makes no sense

Finished it Yesterday first try in ultra violence And after finishing the game i got Doom 1993 And it gave me a variation of the original slayer and a title and a sticker and i gotta say it's easier than normal demons for the final boss of a Doom game

Didn’t see this comment but the BFG does more damage the farther away you are and the long distance it travels so if you can hit your shots it’s far better to shoot from the other side of the arena as it will do huge damage.

ha ha..i too though that BFG ammo keeps on spawning..however this fight isnt that tough since there are plenty of crucible energy at disposal..can you do a video for ending khan maykr fight under 5 mins?

Don’t know why but first time, using the BFG didn’t dawn on me until my second go. Used that and spammed ballista. Tbh once you get the rhythm is was a little too easy, even on Ultra-Violence. Working on my Nightmare play through so I’ll see how that goes.

If you try to take out the demons, will they just Keep respawning?

I was doing the infinite life glitch and after my 4th attempted I did it all of a sudden every time I load in I have nothing, no weapons, no dash, NOTHING

How is that UV, you have so few demons spawning is if it's a completely different game. It looks more like "I'm too young to die"... either that or nightmare is way rougher than all the other settings. That's why you can give tips about just avoiding enemies, in nightmare that's impossible, you have to kill them asap or you get overwhelmed in 20 secs.

Is it me or did less enemies spawn? I'm playing on Ultra Violence too, but it seems like I keep getting a lot of big enemies. Coudl it be because I kill the current one which causes more to spawn?

How do u get so many bfg ammo spawns?

ive beat the game 4 times, twice on nightmare. my pro tip: move a lot, if you keep dying its probably because you arent moving enough. just make sure you dont run into a mancubus unknowingly
