One key to cutting faster in my experience is to not only move quickly but also dont spend a lot of time trying to make everything perfect the first go. Just go through your system and move on to the next step. Once the haircut is almost done you go back and fix anything you see.
@shendetgashi2100
@shendetgashi2100 3 года назад
This is not a right tip for begginer barbers because they are dont know the shades yet and once the cut is done and they wanna go back to detaling they get lost , what i would suggest is just cut as many hair as you can and trust the proces with time passing by you will get faster belive me
@Mike-hy8cs
@Mike-hy8cs 3 года назад
@@shendetgashi2100 Right but you wont cut fast as a beginner anyways. At least not a good haircut fast so this video in general is for more experienced barbers anyway. If you really trying to speed up you have to get so used to a set way of cutting hair that its second nature to you. Then you apply these principles. Of course you can always try different things that are maybe more efficient than your usual style but that comes later once you understand how to fade or blend hair effectively. A lot of times when you try to make everything perfect right away it doesnt end up looking perfect once the cut is finished anyway. Because once you start getting closer to the end of the cut it reveals more things in the haircut. Once your eyes stop tunnel visioning from the blend while working on other areas its easier to pinpoint everything. Thats why it saves a lot of time detailing at the end. You can get through all the bulk of the work within 10-15 minutes and then have the rest of the time to perfect everything.

Bro I love this video .. But I don’t know if it’s just me that caught this ? But every time you speed up video the timer stayed the same as it was in real time ? Every time you sped it up the timer didn’t speed up with the video? So is this really a 25 30 min fade? Don’t get me wrong fade is fire blurry as hell .. but I just don’t get the timer ? Maybe it’s just me ? Probably just trippin .. can u explain how the video going super fast .. but the timer is in real time ?
@Mike-hy8cs
@Mike-hy8cs 2 года назад
He speeds it up in certain spots but not for very long. I would say it prob took him 23 - 25minutes without the beard. He actually could have done it in 20minutes if he wasnt recording cause he could have done the fade all at once instead of seperating it into 3 sections. Takes more time cause essentially you have to redo every step 3 seperate times instead of once.

I could use some tips to help me pick up the speed on my fades... that was a pretty clean fade for 20 mins🔥
@Mike-hy8cs
@Mike-hy8cs 3 года назад
Master a system until it becomes second nature. Then try different techniques to be more efficient. Once you figure that out then I would suggest not trying to perfect the fade right away. Just run through your system quickly. Basically do a rough draft of your fade. Then start doing other things like the line up etc. That way everything else is out of the way. It will reveal the areas that need work. It will be way easier to spot because most of the haircut is done already. Not only that but it makes it easy to detail because the hair is already short and setup for you. Once you get used to doing it this way you can do your rough draft and the lines and top within 10- 15minutes and then have as much time as you need to detail it which is what turns a decent fade to a good one or a good one to a great one.

@Mike-hy8cs

It is for experienced barbers because you are not going to cut fast and do good or great work when you first start cutting hair. Once you are more comfortable and have the reps and understand more how to fade hair then you can start focusing on speed.

Sprzjoji so this fading technique is for speed so I do Clipper Over comb time get the base and to blend into the top and that flat on the head is a 1.5 and the 0 guard open pretty much blends to it if you flick a certain way so it helps speed up the fade time

what’s your purpose of having a guard open then the next guard closed. a lot of barbers do that and i don’t understand why. why wouldn’t you just have it open again referring to the next guard you used.

@Mike-hy8cs
@Mike-hy8cs 3 года назад
I would say just master your way of cutting hair until its instinct for you. Then try different techniques or steps to be more efficient. The biggest tip though is to do the bulk of the haircut. Run through your steps really quick and dont try to get everything perfect right away. Do a rough draft of your haircut. Do the lines, line up the beard, cut the top with shears, etc then go back use your mirror and detail all the imperfections. The rough draft should take you no more than 10-20minutes depending on the haircut. Once the bulk of the haircut is done it will be 10x easier to see the areas that need work. And you can spend the rest of your time just making it look good. The hair will already be setup for you and it will be short so its easier to blend. Detailing should take around 5-10minutes unless they have really difficult hair.

@@jjaybeardedbarber 18:13 you can see inconsistencies in the fade mostly on the parietal ridge. The camera picks up all dark spots, you gotta fade out those spots so the fade looks clean from all angles ’\__(ツ)__/`

@@kratu6625 I don’t see what you’re talking about sir. It’s not my fault if the clients hair isn’t full in some areas. If I enhanced it and didn’t do a 20 min challenge I for sure could of taken more time to work things out but for 20 min that’s a pretty clean fade.
