i read a few comments on previous solo videos and people were wanting to see the stuff i would usually cut out, so i tried my best to show the progression from beach to base n shit so ye i hope u enjoy it lmk
@@sinksr Fishing is even more broken if you do it in a big pool in underwater labs. If you can find a garbage underwater lab no ones really going to run and hit a big pool you'll get crazy loads of scrap without real counters. Fishing yields are based on the depth you're fishing at. Also the quality of the bait you're using. MaxHS has a video on this method.
18:30 while it is disappointing you died here, this is one of the most impressive Rust clips I’ve ever seen. And perfect choice of music, I love that song. Now to watch the rest
They should add a fog that covers your view high up, would affect raiding/ counter raiding and possibly how bases are built. But would be nice to get rid of roof camping
Could go old school with a one shot 'Finger of god' orbital cannon strike called in from say a cell phone, laser designator or presidential football. With that sort of item randomly spawning things should get interesting real quick
Nerf building is very simple. Make an upkeep penalty for each player living in a base. Would both be realitic and balancing. Just 5-10% for each player would be a huge penalty for zergs. Might also prevent zergs from building giant bases and walling in entire monuments if compound walls needed upkeep/decayed
Ya, i didn't think of that. I was thinking just make a cap on how high you can build, take away outer tcs, make it to where a base can only be so many spaces wide, idk. You're idea is legit tho. Cant think of why it wouldnt work right.
I think a team limit on all official servers would kill the player base a good bit. So many people rely on teammates and wouldn't play if all their friends couldn't play. Plus it would eliminate sinks being able to wipe a zerg which is golden content.
I don’t play rust, don’t even have pc, but I enjoy watching rust content, I’ll be up all night when I have to get up early just to watch all my favorite RU-vidrs new videos before I go to sleep.
Amazing video man! I just started playing RUST, by just seeing you play and never giving up makes me really want to learn more and be better at the game and try to overlook the toxic players
To reduce roof camping Launch Site they can increase the building blocked area around the monument and increase weather (map makers/server owners can do both of these).
@@xnvy4940 same! Pre-recoil change, people who learned recoil complained about weather. Weather is a wild card and a game changer for solo/duo/trio imo.
For me, I love this combat update because I don't have that much time to practice recoil, and I think this change is friendly to who just bought this game.
It’s definitely good for new players, but it’s unfortunate for the long time players because of all the recoil grinding they did. I understand why they did the update but it’s still upsetting.
@@interaction1163 yeah but it’s how games are sometimes they have to add updates they hardcore player are gonna hate but new player love or the game will die or have to many hackers cause it’s to hard it sucks but it was needed
Dude you summed up my solo experience during your intro rant. Only have 1k hours but sometimes it's so hard to get a start when you have 10 deep clans roof camping oxum's with L9's, that one random dude door camping you for hours when all you have is a bow, or that random NVG roam in the middle of BUMB FUCK EGYPT killing you when your loaded. Player base is so fucked somtimes.
To combat zergs i feel like they should make stability worse for how high you build. Make multi tcs somehow way more expensive. And max 8 people authed on turrets and tcs on vanilla.
To stop roof camp they could just make building restrictions when near the monuments like you can't put windows and hatch and doors on roof when they are near monuments
I've only been playing for a few days but I don't understand the hate on roof guys. I was on our roof while my buddy did building and upgrading. If someone walked past, I shot them. To note, we aren't right next to a monument. It's close but not within firing range. So the people passing our base had to come off the road into the woods to get to us.
Hear me out, rust primal mode. It is rust (not ark I swear) but without advanced bases, only basic wall defences. Weapons could be different, maybe fantasy for more variety. Also, the environment would have to be very jungle like to make the whole system work. You could make a hidden base or sumthing too. Honestly it would be fun
if you want to kill roofcamping change some of the buildmechanics, specifically remove outword facing roofs, and majorly decrease stability the higher a base is, that way no clan can build massive roofcamp bases because stability high up requires them to basically be sqaures on top. instead of the outword facing balconies that are meta rn. Also, like someone already said, increase upkeep multiplicitivly per members on a team with TC access/a bag within close proximity. only having it based off teams will just lead to zergs not teaming and just wearing matching outfits like the fairies they are. Most chinese zergs already do this, not teaming so admins dont ban them/give them an advantage, pretending that theirs multiple teams in an area instead of one clan in seperate bases.
One fun way to deal with this issue in my opinion is to make C4 detonatable remotely (will beep until detonated and could be disarmed) and stick to vehicles, as well as being able to use rocket volleys big enough to break everything but armored that have to be reloaded at a base, and then finally a craftable JDAM that can be affixed as both a vehicle module and a helicopter carried device, although it'd be very obvious. It punches to the ground and does a very strong radius explosion, enough to break two rings of armor, although likely it would kill the deliverer too due to the jank required
The only way to nerf building would be to put in a building height cap or substantially decrease stability og structures the taller they are. So I believe that would also kill the game for many people who, like to build elaborate and tall structures, players wooden adapt to these changes they would just play something else
What are you doing when you crafted a buncha TCs using the wood but you click the X or something on the other tcs that arent being built yet? is it resetting the build timer of the crafting TC? and doesnt that drop the materials you used to make the tc that you clicked X on?
Where there is a will, there is a way. To prevent roof camping heli and Bradley - make Bradley patrol only inside the Launch site and cease agro when pulled out too much. Also make unbuildable zone much larger. To prevent roof camping heli - perhaps when heli crashes, there can be "smoke grenade" like effect in suitable large area to push clans out to fight and make an algorhytm to prevent heli to crash within base compound. Those are just some examples that could moderate gameplay and balance it a little bit, although I am pretty sure some players would come with a workaround in some time too. But of course, I do agree with the statement, that its the players who are trying to get any advantage they can and exploit whatever is exploitable.
they should update the game to make it so people that are high off the ground, moving around in an area for a certain amount of time and that shoot a lot of bullets do negative dmg
Now that I think the way that they can start the roof tapping is if only if your base is getting attacked that when you shoot off of your roof it does the full damage but if your base is not being attacked then it’s only does a tiny bit of damage to people that would nurf roof camping
@@espressonoob it's the fact that he called him a bozo that crosses a line.. him spooking him doesn't bother me at all but if you think it's okay to get insulted by even admins for no good reason have fun taking insults with a smile man
What's killing the game is the giant zerg bases. Facepunch has made it obvious they think the team limit should be 8, these crazy zergs that have 20-40 players is preventing players from getting into the game.
What if scientists sent foot soldiers, helicopters, and eventually bradley APCs to bases that rack up high kill counts, meaning the better you do the more interesting the game becomes while also pulling the best players away from wiping the floor with people with no gear. They want to be at their base, just make that so absorbing they have no real reason or way to go bother players significantly.
I use to think a lot of rust content was scripted, but after finally playing rust, and getting about 12 hours of play time. Can confirm the dumb luck you can come across...found a random AK kit looking for a spot to place my first base, after dying a million times to wolves, side note, there are no longer any wolves in my area. As a chicken owner, I highly detest the violent atrocity you committed in this video, but the content was still good, despite the only thing i learned is that im much trash at rust. subbed ;)
facepunch could get hard-core and implement a feature that makes it to where after you are ADS longer than 3 seconds you do no damage to anything WHILE you are on a player built structure.. pretty extreme i know but
