Hi there, Ive recently been given a technics EH 600, when i try to play a cassette thereas no playback and the cassette doesn't spin, it flicks from forward to reverse a few times and stops. Any advice? Thanks
Hello Nice video !! Ive baught a secobd hand rs bx501 like i had in the past Unfortunately the deck wont play in both directions,it stops directly after pressing play ,,fast forward goes without problems What could be the playback problem here ? Can you please help me ? Kind reagrds Ralf
Hello! I have the same 501, and the problem is that the playback stops after a few seconds during normal playback. The playback goes normally in the other direction. I just realized that there is a panel where the motor is, and behind it there is another one with the tape selection switches, if I press it a little then the playback starts. Do you think it might be a panel or cable problem? Thank you in advance for your reply.
Check the pinch rollers as they can cause this if its playing in one direction and not the other - tape in switch would not cause this in only one direction
Hey there, I have a 501 that I've been using for a good while now, the only problem I've ran into recently is that the door won't open, everything else works perfectly but it's just the door. When I press eject, the motors inside try to open the door up but seems like the belt inside snapped and it's not opening. The motor spins up 2 times, seems like it's trying to open and close in a single action. I haven't opened it up yet but this is the basic diagnostics I'll go with for now. Do you have any place that I can buy just the belt and is it possible to even replace them?
