BY FAR the best video out there for folding up those LARGE popups!!! The key phrase - "when the bottom starts to drop - let it" - that's THE magic!!!!!
This was actually the most helpful tutorial I’ve ever watched. I love my green screen but hate fighting to fold it down after a shoot. You just saved me so much time and frustration! Thank you!
You Sir are the winner!!! I’ve been trying to fold mine for 2 days; watching over 6 different vids on how to do it. Watched yours and 💥 I got it on the second try!!!! Thank you!! Here’s your trophy 🏆
Thank you so much! (From a 5’ 2” woman struggling with a 150x200 pop up background for the best part of an afternoon! 🙈😂) I watched a few other tutorials without success, but was amazed when your second method worked for me first try. (I was even brave enough to pop it back up and have another two tries, putting it away each time in seconds. Thanks!
There are very few people on God's earth more deserving of a sainthood than you Sir !! Just bought one and had no clue how to fold it back. Thank you !
Seriously hate folding my big one everytime.. so i pull up this video to help! Still tons of tries n horrific words come out of my mouth.. mines not that easy!😮
Finally! I haven’t watched countless of other folding videos. The folding taco against the floor worked for me. It’s the first time in three years that I managed to fold my green screen. My wife will be very happy. 😅
Okey so this is the situation: I'm in a new job as a photographer in a dental clinic (weird I know) and this is my first day. I'm doing a photoshoot with a dentist with this kind of background (a black and white one, not chrome) and, when we finish, the dentist ask me if I know how to fold the background. "Of course I know, don't worry" I say. SPOILER: no, I don't know how to fold it. So he leaves me alone with this fucking monster. Well, I try like 20 fuking minutes to fold it with no result. I see like eight videos but I'm stupid or something and I can't fold it. I'm just about to cry in my first day at my first serious job. BUT THEN STEVES appears with this fantastic video and AT LEAST I have been able to fold this fuking stupid background thanks steve you are my hero 😭😭😭
😭😭😭😭😭😭 I laughed way too hard. I was watching video after video and once I saw this video, I got it. 🙌🏽 I’m a Makeup Artist and most times I need backdrop when I’m doing a client’s makeup. I needed to make sure I knew how to do this before I go to do a job tomorrow. Thanks Steve, and you for the humor. I felt the same way. 😅
Just purchased an LS 5x6.5 ft. Chromakey background for daily use in an office setting. Folding it up daily has been a chore--like wrestling an alligator! I tried several different videos for reference and found my success rate to fold very low and my frustration rate very high. Then, I found this video and on the first try, folded the background! I had my wife come in to the office area to show her how easy it was, as she too was frustrated with this thing. I unfolded the background and folded it right up. She couldn't believe it. Thank you for the vital tip!
Do you realize this is four freaking years later and you are the best one that taught me how to do this. I have a 6 ft one and I am 5ft 2" - see you helped someone 4 years later. Especially the second methond! A BIG THANK YOU
This is, without a doubt, the greatest video in the history of RU-vid. For a few months, a giant backdrop was propped up on a wall on our office, and no one dared to attempt to fold it. I finally gave it a try, and after looking at two other sites had no idea how this would ever happen. Then method #2 in this video worked! I was stunned! Thank you thank you thank you
Dude! You just saved my life! Friend left his backdrop here and I wanted to fold it away… After battling with it for 15mins I found this and bam! Worked. My saviour!
Wow. This was my first time using a collapsible background and all the reviews had me freaked out when it would be time to break it down. The set up was harder! Thank you Steven! This was AMAZING! It took me 3 seconds (I did the 1st version you showed) to break it down. Awesome! Thank you so much!
Okay, okay, okay. Method #1 took me a few tries and the 'just drop it down' part is literal sorcery, actually doing took extra effort, but it DID work. All the 'just drop it down' parts in this video are just this MAJESTIC HUMAN BEING flexing DRAMATICALLY on his viewers.
Fantastic!!! I've been struggling folding this darn thing for over 2 years now and then I watched this! Five seconds and voila - success! Thank you so much.
I would like to pay for your first born to go to college. I have real tears in my eyes because I thought I would just have to live with this as a roommate in my small, nyc studio apartment. This was the 3rd video I watched and the only one that spoke to me. I was beginning to wonder if something was wrong with me. But, I think finding the video that teaches you how to fold this is a very personal, intimate experience. God bless you and your family and friends and thank you so much!
Gravity. Who knew! Tried a bunch of different videos but your strategy of lifting it off the ground completely did it for me. Appreciate the video! Wish the algorithm put your video up higher.
Years later and I have finally folded this thing for the first time since I bought it it's literally been in every part of my home in three different moves I can't thank you enough sir! :-)
Thank God someone finally made an easy to follow video on this. Like ebony thunder, I stuggled for a long time, at one point I was laying on the floor with this thing! LOL. The second method for me worked great. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU
What a flippin' star!!!! Your first method is so easy to execute. I've been struggling to get my giant backgrounds folded for months. Every other method I've tried worked once but just couldn't repeat it at will. Really helpful tutorial.
I will have your babies for this, lol.... I've been dreading folding mine that I've kept it hanging up for over a year (talk about procrastination).. you my dude, are a life savior... thank you...
I received my shipment yesterday and had no idea how to get it back to small size. Today I saw this video and wow how easy it is! Ok, I will honestly confess that the first way didn't work for me. I don't think I have enough energy in the morning. The second one came out right away and so fast I don't even know how I did it. Brilliantly easy! Thank you for this video! It saved me a lot of trouble!
Oh my goodness, I didn't even watch the video, just watched 2 secs of the thumbnail preview, and I must say you made it ridiculously easy. I watched another RU-vidr's approach. I thought that was easy enough, but yours...!
Hero status activated! I have an 8'x10' with the fabric layout attachment and I haven't successfully folded it up in 2 years. You helped me level up and defeat my arch nemesis. YOU ROCK!
HOW ON EARTH DO YOU NOT HAVE 5 MILLION SUBSCRIBERS!!!!!! I was SO upset with my backdrop for YEARS. I just gave up on using it... Could NEVER get it to fold, EVER. I got it within seconds of you showing me in the video. Thanks!!!!!!
I’ve watched sooo many videos and didn’t get it until I watched this guy. Many, many thanks! My green screen has been in my dining room for a week and a half! I can finally put it away now!! Lol!
OMG THANK YOU! This stupid thing almost became a rather large frisbee right out of a second-story window. Operative word here: GRAVITY. Your tutorial was the only of, like, 8 or 9 I watched that actually worked. Serious gratitude!
OMG thank you! I've been trying to fold mine for 15 minutes, and literally bruised my chest in the process. Got it on the first try after watching your video!
Wow! Prior to this video I tried about 15 times to fold down my new backdrop without any success. I also watched a few other videos which did not help. Using the first method shown on this video I managed to fold my backdrop down on my first try! Thank you!
Perfect. Thank You. The 2nd way worked for me as my pop-up background is not so floppy to the 1st way didn't go to plan. So the second way worked beautifully. Thank You!
As a sight-impaired creator it is very hard to understand how to fold items like this from a purely physical demonstration. A solid description is more helpful. Your video is the ONLY one that gave me enough description during the process where I could pull off the fold instantly as you described it. Thank you so much!
I agree! The fold-the-door and push to-the-floor is very easy to visualize almost like kneeding dough. I can close my eyes and still get the right movement in my memory.
This was the only video that made sense. I was literally 10 seconds away from donating my new green screen to the location I was at and figuring I'll just buy another one next time, purely because it was the last item to pack and I wanted to get home and I just couldn't remember how to fold it. Life saver.
I've been fighting with mine and finally search how to do this and so happy I found yours. I saw you do the first way and thougt, I'm a muggle so there is no way I can do this wizardry. Well, I can. First try and incredibly easy. Thought beginners luck and tried it a few more times and every time it work perfect. Thank you.
Thank you so much for this video. This is the best tutorial ever. As a barely 5 feet tall person, I always find it super frustrating to fold my portable green screen. I found that most videos on RU-vid tell us to grab the screen with both arms at a 90 degrees angle to each other. Since I am not tall, I find it very hard to do that effectively. This method of leveraging the hip makes it so easy! I cannot believe that I can fold my screen in less than a minute.
After watching so many Fold Pop-Up Background videos without proper results - this video was the easiest and gave me the immediate results. I folded my backdrop at one go. Thank you so much.
You ROCK. I was battling my greenscreen like a Greek wrestling a giant evil serpent, I’d push left, it would coil right- we fought for months. Your trick ended the conflict in moments and now it’s sealed away until I need it next. Thank you.
OMG FINALLY 😭 I watched so many videos. That first 53 seconds was all I needed. Thanks again!!!! This thing has been unfolded for months, I just about gave up hope 😂.
I have been struggling forever trying to fold this back after each use & the second way went so smoothly it worked on the first go, thank you for this video!
I've had my reflector for more than 16 years. I ALWAYS struggle with folding because I don't use it often enough. This is BY FAR THE BEST folding technique in the HISTORY of MANKIND!!!! LOL. Thank you.
I tried lots of techniques, this is by far the fastest and best!!!!! I actually laughed out loud when I did it the first time, too easy!!!!Thanks, you're the man!
The second method worked the best for me with Neewer 5' x 7' blue/green screen which has a pretty strong edge wire. It would not collapse on itself as outlined by the first method but the second method tamed the screen quickly. Many thanks!!
Opened a new collapsible backdrop today and after wrestling with it for three hours found your video and two tries later put it back on it’s case. You are wonderful. Thank you. 🤙🤙🤙
Wow!!!! That was a life saver, I had always been fighting to fold my pop-up backgrounds, somehow in the end I was managing to fold them but it was always a fight! Now it's as simple as unfolding them. Thank you Sir! Method 1 worked for me like a charm.
omg thank you I have been trying to fold this thing until I got frustrated and said am sure someone on RU-vid has a video on how to Here you are the first video I clicked and I did it on my second try thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This was extremely helpful! I left mine sitting in the living room for two days bc I got frustrated with it, and thought, lol!!! Then thought, oh! I remember seeing this guy on RU-vid a few years back demonstrating, let's see if I can find help from RU-vid. Wasn't really expecting to find the very video I saw, but it was actually the first one that popped up in my search 😁. So THANK YOU for this demo u made look so easy! ur the best 😎👍🏾.
Thank you soooooo much!! Sooooo much!! I’ve watched multiple videos claiming it was “easy” and every week I’d have to watch the same videos wondering why it still wasn’t working. My hands have cramped up, at one point I wanted to set fire to the thing. (Actually, a lot of times) But then I saw this video and got it together on the first try. I’m sure I’ll still have to practice this method, but literally this has been the TRUE easiest method!! 🙏🏼💪🏼
