I use to use Brasso to clean buckles, not any more though; I sold and gave aware all the big shiny buckles and now just have a plain buckles for my belts.
Just getting my first used buckle. Don’t know whether I should clean it up, or leave it as is. It is an older Montana Silversmith buckle. Their website says to only use water and diluted soap. I don’t want ruin the finish. Any additional thoughts other than using Brasso?
Brasso is an abrasive polish Never use it on belt buckles or any other plated object You will scratch your whatever up as well remove the plating Eagle one never dull is a far better and non abrasive polish and quite frankly works faster and better
Help pls. I have a couple belts. MCM belt buckle is having pink spots and smudges I can’t wipe off? And my gold version that’s 24k is having the same problem?? Pls how do I fix it and prevent it? I know nothing of luxury buckles
Well, I don’t know much about these luxury buckles, but I can tell you that braso seem to work on all my Montana silversmith belt buckles, and on all the little silver bits and Conchos on my saddle, know if you have a pure 24k belt buckle and the braso doesn’t work I’m guessing you need to contact a jeweler but I never take it this far because these western belt buckles usually don’t cost much more than $200 and braso usually takes care of them and our buckles take some abuse out on the field. I hope this helps .
