Shiny Grookey was my first shiny egg hatch in Shield and I got it in about 11 eggs so this is definitely my next shiny hunt ❤ thanks for the awesome videos 🎉

Also another tip is to turn off auto save and save before you make the sandwich. So if you don’t find it within thirty minutes you can just reopen the game.

oh also - you can start with a magic guard clefable and skill swap to prevent grookey from knocking itself out from recoil, glad you said the part about wood hammer cause it helped me prepare for it!

Or you could just use a Grass encounter sandwich on the beach of the Coastal Biome when you first enter it. That's how I found mine.

There’s a ledge a little ways up near the class spot that they are the only grass type to spawn at but it is absolute hell to search since both colors blend so well with the grass. Though I think I just lack the attention span to try to find the real tiny shiny Pokémon 😂

@@AthenaBellaI tried your way and found 2 of them 😂. The contrast between the color of the sand and Grookey plus the fact that the shiny color at night almost glows in the dark saved me. So thank you 😅

I would say just make sure you have encounter power 3 on instead of experience power! That is the biggest problem I have noticed people having. Happy hunting friend!

Is there an easy spot for Squirtle? Almost got all the starters but the lil turtle always has such rough spawn locations

Unfortunately no. The best way to hunt squirtle is definitely outbreaks

@@AthenaBella Fair. Only outbreak I've gotten was in a small pool surrounded by other stuff so even with sandwiches I was only getting 2 or 3 spawns. Back to the grind!

Unfortunately, there is no way to isolate Squirtle. I tried for weeks to find a way, and never found one. I just shares too many spawns with other water types. Same with Fennekin, Snivy, Oshawott, Piplup, Chimchar, Scorbunny, and Totodile

I got Bellossom a couple times too haha but I did get my entire Grookey line there as well. Was the best place (not in grass) that I was able to find them spawning

Grookey is the final shiny starter for me to catch! I'm on my 3rd sandwich and I still haven't found the little bastard. I give up! I'll try again later.

Yeah rng can be pretty crappy sometimes. Don't give up completely though! Take yourself a break and hit it again later! Good luck!

This one’s shiny was more difficult to spot than I thought it would have been, it’s not bright so it makes for a slight difference depending on the lighting

That is why I liked hunting it on the beach, so much easier to see it than it was in the grass
