Step 1:
Locate 16pin Connector for Diagnostics
[Most of the cars have it in here]
Step 2:
Connect SuperMini ELM327 OBD II
Step 3:
Put the key in Contact
Step 4:
Turn Bluetooth On and find "OBDII"
Step 5:
Turn GPS On
Step 6:
Go to Torque Application
Step 7:
Wait until the phone is connected to OBDII
Step 8:
Search for car Fault Codes

I bought one. Downloaded the pay for app. Which was only 2.50. Pounds. I plugged it in, within seconds it had picked up the fault. ( the check engine light was on) it told me it was the clutch sensor. Then it reset it. No problem. I'm happy with it.

Does this little tool read all engine fault codes? I'm wondering whether or not some codes wouldn't be readable, effectively making this tool useless. I wouldn't want to scan my car and see zero codes when, in fact, there might be 3 "hidden" ones. Cheers!

Question, my ELM327 arrived in ADHOC mode (stupid) for 6 years i would use it searching non stop for an STN or Infrastructre mode or Version of the product, one day i decided to see if port 80 is open , it was (HTTP GUI), i switched it to Station mode, i entered SSD, Encryption (WPA2PSK CCMP) and the key ( even kept a screen shot) the ELM327 connects a few seconds to the AP and disconnects. I made sure the AP is set to the same Encryption type, and key... I even set a static/Fixed in the ELM327 .. Any tips? The unit is close to AP, tried many APs, legacy, wrt54g, dd-wrt. different channels. no go .

I swapped a ignition coil on my Bmw because it has a misfire on cylinder 2 I fixed it. But there's 3 stored codes. Is that a good thing or bad thing ?

fault codes are there for a reason, fix the problem fault code goes, but use the OBDii to diagnose fault code for sure

I hope this works on my mercedes E220 I have 2 fault codes (SRS and battery fault) I haven't had the chance to buy a new piece for the srs problem and the batteries are fully charged and working)

Marko Milcic Get a Actron CP9680 code tester. It checks live, record, graphing, emission readiness test, transmission tests, ABS, SRS, oxygen sensor test, oil change light reset, check engine light turnoff, code-connect diagnoses codes. It is updatable using a USB cable. Get a wall charger for a Tom Tom One GPS to review readings in the house without using the battery. Get a cigarette lighter adaptor cable for a Tom Tom One GPS to review test results in the car. It uses 4 aaa batteries under the rear cover. EBAY has it. A bad coolant sensor can cause that. See if the fans work. If not, it could be the coolant fan relay or coolant sensor. It could be the thermostat sticking closed.

Checked for error codes Mine says no codes stores on ecu, but I have an airbag light still present on dash.... using elm327 with torque app.... I followed instructions step by step, airbag light stil there

This device will work to read and clear codes "Check Engine light˝ but elm327 don´t read SRS Airbag ,Abs or Esp light. Only Clear trouble codes and turn off the MIL (\"Check Engine\" light).....

IF your symbol is flashing it means there is there is a major fault.OBD 2 faults always shows in flashing .If it shows in fast enough flashi there is a major fault.It if it shows flashing in steady or slow flashing there is minor fault Thanks. OBD is Onboard diganosis system

For some reason, mine isn't connecting. Wifi on, app open, Bluetooth connected, location on. It doesn't open to the screen you're did at the 1:50ish mark
