Remember, Disney allows you to bring in food. So a trip to the nearby publix..(fried chicken, potato salad, slaw) and have a picnic at Poly or Fort Wilderness, or Aunt Poly's at Tom Sawyer's island..Also, you're allowed to bring in bottled soft drinks/water/etc in plastic bottles. You can ask for a free cup of ice at any place serving iced drinks.
@penelopepitstop762

Sam Paul another tip: order drinks, snacks, and breakfast items from the grocery store and have them delivered to your room.
@mandijones8006

Bonus tip: bring frozen water bottles in a lunch bag and leave them in a locker to thaw. You can even access the lockers throughout the day. And by noon they start turning into ice water. Really great way to have access to cold water through the day.

@Bold One yeah alot of places don't allow you to bring in food mostly because they want you to buy they're crazy expensive food.

You should do a video about best places to sit and eat after you purchase counter service food. Shaded places, quiet places, places best for families.

Breanna Scalf oh honey... if you’re going to disney it’s not going to be quiet and if it’s in the summer- get ready to apply some sunscreen, you won’t find much shade
@haleyb7304
@haleyb7304 5 лет назад
^ This. Even the less popular theme parks have no real shaded areas and definitely no quiet / “family” areas. Just way too many people are there, even in areas intended to be quiet or peaceful will be overcrowded and loud.
@mandijones8006
@mandijones8006 5 лет назад
There are actually a few in Disneyland if you went there. The area around Repunzel’s stage get pretty quiet after 5. And the areas around the space mountain and star tours have some shady spots to sit down. Best place to sit and eat though is in Frontierland

This video was an AWESOME idea! Not only do you get a well curated list of delicious eats, but you also get to visualize what $35 in food looks like in each of the parks and plan accordingly. Maybe at parks where the options don't seem like they'll keep you full, but you want to follow the list and save money, you could bring your own snacks? Or maybe you wanna splurge on certain days because you remember items from other videos that you wanna try other than the list ones? This was a great way to visualize for a planner like myself!

My friend and I did Disney on a college student budget a couple years ago. We brought granola bars from home for breakfast and split a couple snacks in the middle of the day instead of lunch. I usually ate a quick-service dinner off the children's menu. Probably not for everyone, but it made Disney doable on our shoestring budget!

What I love about this video is it offers a mix of quick service and table service places! And there really are so many variations of this and places you can substitute and still be under $35 a day!

LOVED this video! I'm a Disney veteran taking my best friend for the first time over spring break, and since we're college students, saving money where we can is SUPER important. Some additional recommendations I have are: - Do not be afraid to order off the kids menu if you have a smaller stomach, especially at the resorts! For example, rather than spending $8.79 on Mickey Waffles at POP, you can get a kids serving with the mini waffles, a side, and a drink for $6.29 and it still fills you up. - Columbia Harbour House at Magic Kingdom is SUCH a good find. The Combination Platter is only $12.49 and definitely fills you up with lots of food which I love to get for a late lunch when the place is much less crowded. - La Cantina de San Angel in the Mexico Pavilion at EPCOT is amazing for street style tacos, nachos, and empanadas. About the same price as Harbour House, and there's also less well known indoor seating to get away from the heat and big birds on the patio. - Agree 100% with the Flame Tree BBQ at Animal Kingdom. Harambe Market is also a really good find!

@@likelayka0 Water bottles, definitely yes. One tip make people have is ordering a case of water bottles from Publix or Amazon to the hotel room and bringing in the water bottles each day. Not so sure about McDonald's since it might be considered something that requires being heated. Disney won't allow you to bring in any food into the park that requires heating.

Last time I vacationed at disney we stayed at an offsite hotel for super cheap (it was like $350 for 10 days, free decent breakfast) and we hit up Target for food, so ate really cheap, only eating in park (or at an offsite restaurant) once a day. It was a really great vacation. Now I"m planning a vacation where we'll stay onsite and get the meal plan. I don't think I'd ever do this, though- eat all my meals in park paying cash. It's really not hard at all to make meals in a hotel room with a little bit of creativity, and bringing snacks into the park is also super easy.

Disney is not THAT expensive with food... You just got to know where to eat. When I was at Disney last week, I was so excited to be there that I barely ate - which was dangerous because we had the DDP. We had to remind ourselves to eat. Disney was fun!! My gosh! 😍😍😍😍

Great video! I would also love a video of best table serve dining on a budget.

I think that one of the biggest things is just being aware of the cost of food BEFORE going. That way, you can plan for your budget. From the first time we went to WDW as a family in 2006, we have been able to eat on a budget of $50 a day or less. Of course, we never do sit-down meals and we do not buy bottled water/soda. Sometimes, if we have been eating well under budget, we will use the "extra" to do sit-down somewhere like The Plaza where the prices are pretty reasonable.

This is a great video! It may beat the basic Dining Plan: $279/ person per for 7 days (2 C Service meals + 2 snacks/ day and a drink mug )if you stick to resort eats only because that mug is not refillable outside the resorts. Beverages with your meals at Disney Springs and in the parks will blow your $35 budget unless you bring your own drinks or if you can buy refillable mugs at the parks. I’ve never tried that. But it could still be a budget buster in any case. We just returned from Universal Studios where thier refillables cost $12.99 to $17.99/ mug PER DAY, (buying multiples drops the price). You can buy additional refill days for $8/mug/day. Drinks are pricy any way you slice it 😕

I love this channel so much and I feel like this 5 day meal plan would take the metabolism and heart health of a superhero. Maybe Disney World adrenaline burns more calories.

You’re walking 10+ (realistically more like 20+) miles a day. You’re going to burn these off, easily. Besides it’s vacation. I get wanting to eat “healthy”, but it’s a vacation and splurging is fun. I feel like many people don’t eat that way on a daily basis. And remember, all these videos are suggestions. That doesn’t mean you have to follow their advice. Don’t be such a stick in the mud.
