Wait: In minute 0:16 appears the Mc of "Outsider" and in 0:36 we can literally see Hitotsume-sama behind the protagonist, so this means that the video is happens in the same city as in "Dramaturgy", "Last Dance", "Nonsense Literature" and "Outsider". Many times in the video we can see references to "Tokyo Ghetto" like the trash can with the body of the Mc of his video in the minute 0:47, this means that "Tokyo Ghetto" is included in the previous list and we know that Glove guy appears in TG video, so "As you like it" is also added to the list and it doesn't end there because Glove Guy appears at the end of "Baumkuchen End", so we can assume that it also in the same city. This is interesting because of the Eve manga, in which we know that the Mc´s of the first 4 songs are important characters, but now we can speculate that the characters in Tokyo Ghetto, As you like it and Baumkuchen end can oficially appear. I think that all Mc´s of this videos have some things in common: First, they all have a very important problem in their lives, and second they have a monster following them, something like a familiar or similar (Even the manga protagonist have one), the only one that does not follow this last condition is "As you like it" protagonist but if we dont follow the theory that he is the Glove Guy it can fit, another option would be that he is also part monster (idk really, just saying). In short, everything is coming together bois. I love you Eve

When the dragon head fell off, it transformed into a boy. At first, he tries to maintain his form without giving in to his desires, but when those violent thoughts arise, the dragon body is there to remind him of his inner desires (0:49). In fact, when he tries to reconnect with his dragon body, he partly transforms into a dragon himself, which leads him to run away from it in fear of losing himself (1:29). However, in his human form, the boy is very lonely and feels like he is separate from others (0:51), but he meets someone - the guy with a top hat and a face that only has the mouth (let's call him Mouth Guy). Now, it doesn't seem like Mouth Guy is the most pleasant by any means. At one point, 1:55, we see him eating a part of the boy's body, but he does form a connection with the boy and acts as a companion. However, this relationship falls apart when the boy finally gives in to his urge to eat others when he rips open the bag (2:13), which I presume to be another person's life. After this incident, the boy feels incredibly guilty for what he's done and feels as though he has been eaten himself (2:55 to 3:04 represent these feelings). However, because of these anxious thoughts, the dragon becomes incredibly hungry and is willing to eat anything in its path, including the boy. The boy returns to Mouth Guy, and instead of being rejected for what he has become, Mouth Guy helps him by "winning" over the dragon body, or desire to harm others. Although we see that Mouth Guy has bitten the dragon body (3:33), by the end, he has helped the boy conquer himself, as we see that at 3:37 he eats his dragon body and wins over his desires. edit (credit to @Mariana Lomagno): the guy that he has eaten may be the guy from Tokyo Ghetto, but I don't think that is the case. It is true that there are a lot of similarities between that MV and this one. 0:46 directly parallels Tokyo Ghetto, and the clothing and shoes of the body match up with the TG protagonist. For 1 brief frame at 0:07, there is an image of the monster shown in TG. I think it is possible that after the monster in TG ate the protagonist, it transformed into a dragon, but the protagonist took a new form as a the white-haired boy and tried to escape the dragon body.

Feel like this story is about a character that can't forgive himself for doing something horrible in his past (chorus says he won't forgive himself if he forgets it). This thought makes him feel like a monster (Based on the elevator scene 2:34, where it is opened by a monster but the monster's shadow shows a person's shadow, himself, also there are frames when he turns into a monster when eating and when lights flicker) and is slowly eating his conscience away. Also, I noticed he refers to himself as bokura (we) suggesting multiple personalities

サビの「夜が」から何故かテンション上がる

My theory is that this (like many of Eve's videos) is a warning about the indulgences of life and how dangerous addictions can be. The character is one who is trying to live a normal life, but is carrying a great weight on his shoulders- represented by the backpack. He is searching for a feeling (0:45) and can't be satisfied by normal things. In his loneliness and desperation, he consumes something- likely indicative of a drug, alcohol, or other snare (0:59). He then enters a surreal scene representing his conflicting emotions- he wants to escape and sober up, as he's "running out of time" to free himself. But he also wants to be blinded to his own numbness. 1:19 shows the damage that the drugs, etc have done to him, being stabbed by knives and forks. For but a moment at 1:27, he realizes what a monster he has become and falls back to real life, falling from his high. At 1:45, after falling deeper into trouble, his "burden" now has become a monster watching over him. The rewind shows how he's stuck in a vicious cycle, living every boring day the same until he can get his "fix." All his desires and weaknesses hover over him constantly. At 1:54, it shows the grasp these addictions have on him- they are slowly consuming him. Taking hold. Directly after this image it shows his "monster" consuming more of that drug.. the monster does not depart until he has consumed every last bit of it. Only afterwards does the boy wake up in realization. He had not fully given in until the next scene. "My favorite cutlery only seems to bring bliss-" at this point, he's stopped seeing it for evil and sees it only as something that brings nothing but bliss: the only way he finds satisfaction is in consuming this thing. Accepting all the pitfalls in life. The Lord's supper in the background suggests that what is to come will be his final meal before tragedy- but with the dark, faceless figures this is clearly no holy supper. Then, at 2:12, he decides to dive in. He gives up, now fully hooked, accepting all of his burdens and addictions. At this point, he obeys nothing but his primal desire to consume. He then goes on a "trip" through many of his memories, fighting one last time to remember what he had wanted, which was acceptance, someone to hold his hand (2:48), but in a moment's glance it all disappears. All he can do now is be consumed by himself, indulging in his addictions. He consumes and consumes, until he realizes that, all along, he has been the one being consumed (3:01). He tries to run and escape, but this time, the monster he flees from has become inescapable. Following the monster at 3:12 is nothing but death and destruction, it itself is a dying animal. At the very end (3:32), he runs out of places to run. In the end, the monster whose lies he consumed consumes him completely. In the end, instead of eating away his issues, his issues ate away at him. In the end, he is little more than a puppet- he ate life, and then life ate him. A point of no return. Okay so from what i understand the dragon gets decapitated and splits into two parts, the dragons body which represents instincts and the dragons head which is represented by the boy who represents reason. The boy(the dragon's reason) suppresses his appetite because he doesn't want to kill others. The dragon's body(instinct) is attacks everything because it's hungry. I think "How to eat life" represents the conflict of living and taking life in order to live. Also on a different note i heard someone in the comments mention's that they think that life means youth and eating kind represents growing up.

“Smile” is easily Eve's best project yet.
