What I did before you made this video was make the tank in your guides. I sent them into a corner of the map with goblin trophy with around 6 other guys who were fast enough to hide somewhere.
It does not work , they always find my hidden guys from turn one. i even tried with 2 , 1 tank and 1 DPS , it seems that if you hide you get more aggro from tentacles
Bro trust me, i have 11 PERFECT Lone Wolf run - Bros. And NO, you dont have enough actions to break free everytime because 1: You sometimes have bad luck and dont breack free 2: Your Fatigue will go up until you cant move anymore AND 3: These tentacels got SO MUCH initiative they will always act first and pull your bros towards the kraken. You aint even got time to hit them because you have to always break free and run. Its pure pain. I would even say impossible
I have the same problem...been resetting the fight for the last one hour.... I have one tank and 3 bros in the killsquad. The second Irrlicht always goes in a 2 square vicinity of where my bros are hiding and then the next one pops up right next to one of them. Maybe i need to hide further away from the starting point 🤔
I must say the devs did a really poor job on this one if you can cheese out a bossfight like this. First time i tried it with heavy armor my guys fatigued out and got eaten. The most normal way of doing it is grab light armor and trying to slaughter the tentacles without getting near the head and getting killed by the tentacles. Whats your tip on doing it without fancy stuff?
try to roll a good spawn, spawning in the middle of the swamp is simply death. Killing the tentacles before they move will lose them an entire turn so a few fast bros like fencer or dagger are good. stunning is also good.
Hello. This is a good guide, but what you say at 27:43 is just factually incorrect and can cost a run for some people. If you test bush strat, you would realise that mistakes in hiding are not getting fixed by just rehiding into bush. There is still a way to save it tho which involves decoy brother helping out. Tentacles vision works in a cheating way. If they cant see any single brother AI cheats and reveals the whole map for itself including hidden spots. Now here I might be incorrect but I have also heard that tentacles prioritise bros who are closer to the head and your decoy brother is very far away which makes situation even worse. (At least it seems like it is true on prsctise). Given that AI vision cheat it is also very important to mention that you should never put your decoy brother into gidden spot because that will cause tentacles to cheat and spot all your naked bros
You and friendly need an award. For everyone who is struggling with this. If your tank goes on a hidden tile and the tentacles don't know where the tank has gone they will know where everyone is and find your hit squad.
