THIS IS AN OLD VIDEO THAT PEOPLE STILL FIND HELPFUL FOR SOME REASON, HOWEVER I HAVE LEARNED SINCE MAKING THIS THAT IN DAVINCI RESOLVE, YOU CAN SIMPLY CHANGE THE FRAME RATE OF EACH CLIP BY RIGHT CLICKING AND SELECTING CLIP ATTRIBUTES. *HOWEVER* YOU CAN STILL USE THIS APPROACH AND MANUALLY SPEED UP OR SLOW DOWN YOUR CLIPS TO YOUR LIKING USING THIS APPROACH SO I AM KEEPING IT UP FOR THE TIME BEING.
If there is any video that I will get pushback from, it will likely be this one. Here is the general philosophy: While exporting a video at 30fps or higher does appear sharper and "cleaner", it doesn't usually look right to the viewer. Of course there are exceptions to the rule, but here's the way it works: If you want your video to look like a soap opera, edit on a 30fps timeline. If you want it to look like a video game, edit 60fps or higher. If you want it to look more realistic and cinematic, edit on a 24fps timeline. This is probably one of the LEAST informative and LEAST articulate videos I have ever made, but hopefully it helps someone., lol.
