This video has been very helpful. Can you tell me, though, how to clean up the pixilation on the old moves so it doesn't look so grainy? Thanks

Thank you for making this video. I wanted to start this project and had an idea of what I wanted as the end result to look like but didn’t know where to start. You hit the nail on the head. Thank you so much.

This is a great informative video. I've tried for years to find a class, tutorial, teacher, or program that could explain video editing for home movies that I could understand. Just a quick view of this video and I finally feel like I could do this. First step is to get some of my old tapes digitized. Do you have an updated coupon for the company you used? Also do you have any discounts for Camtasia? Thanks in advance. Taren

THANK YOU for creating this video. We have been struggling and quite frankly, immobilized for a few years on how to edit our old home videos. Your tutorial was excellent and we are super inspired to tackle this project so we can share those precious memories with our kids.

Hi! There, I found out about your channel while signing up for Roots Tech , I had my old family movies that go back to the early 50's transferred to DVD some also with a link as well. I had this film transferred by Yes Video offered at Walmart no problems dropped off and picked up at the store, I worked at Walmart at the time and got a discount. . I have the same concern as you about how will future generations know who is who ?? and how can I edit white outs yellow sections & my mother would jump fast in filming one thing to another. Plus, I want to make the movie entertaining with music. I attempted to edit a small bit of footage on utube and I believe micro soft. Did find it frustrating . This camtasia seems to be just what I'm looking for . Going to check this out most likly will decide to purchase I'll use your discount code. . so glad I found out about your channel I've been learning a lot from your video's.

I had an AWFUL experience with Larson. Really really awful. REALLY awful. Did I say AWFUL? You got your films fast because you are a VIP to their marketing department. Your viewers need to check the internet for customer reviews. The films disappear into a black hole if they do not pay extra up front for fast turn around. Then, when they digitize, they just put it through a machine, with no editing - so if your vhs tape has twenty minutes of video on a six hour tape, you will get a six hour digital film containing 5 hrs and 40 minutes of noise. Moreover, their fees are not as economical as they seem with these so-called discounts. You pay for both processing AND you pay to get the film back - even if you just want to download it from their site! Plus, you pay for postage (that part is actually done well) and if you don’t want to have to beg them for months to finish your project, you have to pay for expedited service - anyone paying for expedited service gets priority, and all the rest have to wait until they have no expedited orders. I went to them because you recommended them. I was not a happy camper. I had a much better experience with films done locally. I had to use them for films that Larsen sent back to me because they don’t do sound film and they were not able to handle a few other kinds of film that they had not warned me about. But I also bought Snag-It at your recommendation, and it is the most utterly useful, well-written and easy to use program on my computer. I am very very grateful for that recommendation. I can’t live without it at this point! And I bet Camtasia, made by the same folks, is just as good.
